I'm glad to get Norf's F1, but the trade wasn't that much in our favour, it's a win, but not a complete robbery
Based off 2025 points, Pick 27 & 32 (estimated) is worth around Pick 16, and in 2024 points it's worth Pick 12, so it's still a win for us as long as they don't click and make a finals push.

Will be a top 10 pick more likely top 5

Just using points it's about 1600 points (using 2024 and 2025 values - I used 27 and 19 by the way - likely to be bids that push it out past that so points value comes down). That's about pick 6 in 2025 points. If we had pick 6 and gave it up for 27 and a future 2nd round pick... we'd melt and Cornes would tear (rightly) into us...

Yes but we had no hope of getting him unless we got norf pick 2. Actuall a couple clubs did pretty good Melb and saints especially those 2 defenders will set them up for a long time.

when the FOS vs jagga war was waging, i was always a smillie man, and by the time that we had pick 6 and it was lalor vs FOS i was very happy not trading for pick 2 since i loved lalor & smillie


was very hott on hotton as well, didn't think we'd take him at 10/11 and thought he'd go inbetween 11&18, so i'm stoked

Watching his highlights he just looks like a competitive animal. I have doubts but that’s a trait that just doesn’t come naturally. If you’re a forward without a competitive spirit you end up like Josh Schache.

Watched the preliminary final gwv rebels vs Oakleigh Chargers live .Jonty killed it that day was the difference in winning and losing a fantastic pick up

You'd have to think that the Bombers would trade up an F1 for the privilege of taking Shanahan.

We'd have 3 top 10 picks next year

I'm not convinced the Bombers will want a tall forward. Yes Shanahan is there, but their mids are more in the decline phase and they need to add one I think, and their defence was brittle.

More serious problem his at our club lol He has had problems last 2 seasons and missed games this season cause of it. It might be nothing and can overcome it but been a big fellow well i probably wouldn't have risked it.
