Gee whiz there are some bedwetters on this site. While it might seem odd to us from afar to pick the likes of Docherty and Cerra I would think the professionals inside the tent might have a little more knowledge than we do. The fact they left out Curnow indicates they aren’t exactly going all in.

Also the pile on on Motlop (a third year 20 year old with one full preseason under his belt) is hilarious. Reminds of last year when I went to the St Kilda game and a bloke behind me was calling out “where the **** are you Motlop” as the ball was rebounded out of our forward 50 - I pointed out Motlop was standing 10m in front of him - on the bench.

This young kid does a pile of work without the ball and is averaging a goal and 2 tackles a game as a small forward - he isn’t our problem

1 goals and two tackles doesn't mean he is going great.

He could have 2 tackles and a goal in a 30sec play.

The eye test says he is out of form and doesn't deserve to play this week.

Interesting 1st post!

Picking Sam Docherty was a no-brainer for the Blues... and here are two obvious reasons

Definitely when it comes to finding touch, but not fitness

Disagree wholeheartedly, have a look at the start of a season when players are cramping everywhere. They’ve been training for 6 months, footy fit with repeat effort after repeat effort and getting smashed every time you touch the ball is wayyyy different

I guess that only appears after the fact

If we lose this week, people will focus on the output of returning players

I prefer critical analysis win or lose
Cerra Cottrell Marchbank Martin had all been expressed as poor selections by a number of posters before games when being rushed or prematurely bought back in when selected, that’s before the fact…

As far as analyzing performances by the players win or lose, it’s fair to say that there are a couple of the returning players that have a reasonable high risk level for them preforming to a required level or possibly reinjuring themselves as they have done previously, we certainly have made past selections of bringing players back prematurely…

Plenty of various options which have been expressed and discussed on the pro’s and con’s with players who’ve been selected and players who have been omitted, we will only know once the game is over to what degree any of the selections can be judged accurately on impact and overall performance…

Win or Lose…

Agree to disagree. Looking forward to how it plays out

Poster opinion varies depending who and why, it's noted, but it's still opinion. Similar to the likes of Dow and Stocker that supposedly were going to embrass the club by improving output elsewhere

Then you have the likes of Weitering, Walsh that have transitioned seamlessly

Absolutely, hindsight is a wonderful thing
