On that last point, anyone know much of Hore and Coffield?

Haven’t heard a lot about either from the clubs ir their team boards

Especially Hore although appears he was in the 2nd choice team in match sim so that’s not ideal

Coffield all I can gather is he’s in most dogs fans best 22 so that’s positive but not heard much

These guys will be critical to structures if Chappy is out.

If 2 of those 3 don’t play I’ll be having to restructure a bit myself, maybe going up to hinge

Jase Burgoyne another option as sounding like he has the wing vacated by Duursma sewn up

Fair call. Probably feel less comfortable there currentky but I guess a viable Chapman straight swap. Would want to see a bit PS, and unless he presses hard I’d feel better with a structure where I trade into him if it came to it

With Chappy out, Hore playing in the "B" team and the lack of defensive rookies, I think many are going to have to play Coffield D6 and have Curtin as D7. And then if we don't have a playing R3, we can roll with Gibcus D8 or maybe Reid. But if we do have a Sweet or Conway playing, we could potentially use our D8 spot as a loop option

I've had Hore in D6 which fits structure perfectly but I would have thought we would've heard more noise on him by now if he was probable

Yeah I tend to agree.
I’ve actually been structuring with hore and Curtin on bench, both expecting some of those guys to miss but also as I don’t like any other def cash cows and if they all did I’d be tempted to bat that deep for cash gen so I’ve got some flexibility there.

Yep. Seems like I’m rolling with Williams D5 and Coffield D6. Curtin and another 200k rookie on the bench.

Hamil at about 245k been a surprise half back in crows A team but with Milera out and being not generally expected to be near our best 22 (not to mention concussion history) not sure I’d go there or expect him to even feature

Mhm. These are probably the replacement options for me.

1: Hore
2: Hough
3: Bowes
4: Budarick
I’ve gone up to hinge (reckon he’s got 15 pts upside which isn’t perfect but I think worthwhile as a starter) but have Hore on my bench so if he is named rd 1 (and Coffield also is) then I’ll prob move him on field and cut hinge (as long as there’s also a D8 option)

Budarick a rd 0 watch though

Oisin Mullin should be a good option at D8 if he is named R1. Looks like he could be a decent enough chance for Best 23 and will likely have a role off half-back with his speed. He is a bit of a sub risk but willing to take that for a bench player early on.
Really struggled to score last year in his games but I guess there’s going to be some natural development. Any particular info that gives a stronger expectation of that?

From what limited reporting I have seen coming from Geelong pre-season training he has been training half-back. Many of his games last year were sub-impacted and was still adjusting to the game. Has a proper full preseason this year and indications are Geelong want to move the ball with more speed out of the back line (as do many other clubs it seems).
He was a superstar in the Irish Gaelic comp and end of last year signed on with Cats until end of 2025. Probably just on the fringe of the 23 at the moment.

Yeah can near guarantee he won't be playing Round 1. Between Dempsey and Mannagh for the vacant Smith spot. Conway and Stanley, and Bowes Bews, and Tuohy in defence. Knevitt also in line for a spot but more likely emergency.

If I had to guess, this would be our current Round 1 line up:

B: J. Henry, SDK, Z. Guthrie
HB: T. Stewart, Kolo, Holmes
C: Mannagh, C. Guthrie, Blicavs
FO: Stanley, Danger, Bruhn
HF: O. Henry, J. Cameron, Miers
F: Stengle, Hawkins, Close
INT: Duncan, T. Atkins, Dempsey, Bowes, O'Connor

EMG: Conway, S. Neale, Parfitt, Knevitt
