Heavy hitting backline, don’t mind it at all if the rest of your side hasn’t suffered.

Can always go Coleman back down to Coffield and use the money elsewhere if it ends up looking like Coff is assured of the role and scoring once the practice matches are out of the way, OR if Coleman has a poor showing in round 0

Surprisngly, I don’t think upgrading my backline has affected the overall team much.

Running Bont, Butters, Newc, Crouch and Wines through the middle.

Gawndy in rucks. Would love one of Marshall or English here but the value is undeniable.

Martin and Flanders up forward.

Trying to decide what I think the best strategy for these early byes and best 18 rounds is doing my head in!

Who goes for who though? I just can't see a better option than Fyfe at that price range. Maybe I drop Serong down to Newcombe.. with Wines as well though there's a few question marks in there..

The other option I like for Serong is Martin at Essendon, so might consider that. Just dunno what to do with that spot instead of Fyfe though.

Maybe Flanders > Fyfe in the forward line; Serong > Martin and then put Newcombe in midfield over Fyfe. Then looks like this:



Excuse the mis-ordering of mids, but means Wines is M5 which is a bit more of a comfortable spot for him. Also reduces my Bye players by 1 (Flanders out for Newcombe effectively) and brings in Martin for Serong. Also gives me about $180k in the bank.

Close to 70 right now, but generally make even harder cuts a week out from game time. Down from over 120 a couple of weeks ago, so getting there slowly, haha. Makes it easier to pick a non bye heavy team as well - if I want to experiment with that.
