15-20k Hawks at the game, 5k crowies going to barrack against us, is my tip why its a sell out.

As you said, there were 45k last year and we got beaten at the Gabba and maybe at best, 500 GWS supporters.
Could be an advantage of more opposition supporters there seeing they choke infront of us.

Just from my perspective after attending last week, I think this board discounts how many happy clappers exist.
As much as this board is negative (actually I'd say realistic...) about the coaching and the way we play, the people around me last week were very much "it's a good night out with the family, Ken and the boys have done so well and we have another chance next week."
As such it doesn't surprise me to see it selling out.
Even on the board here it appears there are quite a few very negative supporters who still seem to go to games.....
I think you’ll find some people would sit in both camps though.

I want Ken sacked as much as the next guy and if it happens this week great, if it’s next week, well we’ll cross that bridge when we get there.

But regardless of that, I do actually enjoy going to the footy as an event too. It’s a great way to catch up with my mates or my brother that I may not see too often this days, have some beers and talk some footy and some shit.

End of the day, I’ll be grumpily watching another shit performance but Ken’s last game as coach. Or a finals win. And honestly, with how footy has been this year, who knows what can happen.

I'm not sure they're happy clappers, I think the majority are going for the sake of it. Not because they believe, or are at all positive about the game and our chances.

I suspect the atmosphere will be incredibly flat and there'll be 10-15k Hawks fans that'll make a lot more noise than we do.

It's a Semi Final, of course supporters of all persuasions want to go.
This is why we support a team, to enjoy the prospect of watching them win in big games.

Having said that, I'm not going because the only seats I could get yesterday after waiting for an hour were nosebleed and **** that.

No mucking around!!!

They can get f***ed.

I've already paid for my priority 1 guarantee by paying for my membership. If the club wants to disenfranchise me (again, after doing it in 2020) I'll do a chargeback.

A limited time window within which to assert my rights (8am-11am on Wednesday) PLUS a non-refundable fee is a joke. F***ing vultures. Shameless.

It happened in 2007, 2014, 2020, and 2021.

Cant remember a fee in 2004 or earlier but do remember some sort of registration.

A pain in the arse, but nothing new.

Surely someone at clubland, the AFL, or the ticketing agencies must have been close enough to the banking royal commission to remember what happened re: fees for no service.

The AFL dont give a flying **** when it comes to members and making $50+m from finals, despite wanking on about how important members are and how they saved the clubs during Covid

I hate the fact that even if you register within your window, you don't get a choice of where you sit. I would be happy to pay top dollar for a premium ticket, but knowing my luck, the random allocation would park me up in the nosebleeds like 2007!!!!

Prelim is Friday - flight prices have gone through the roof already
Go via Melbourne will be cheaper.

Sydney / Melbourne is the 3rd or 4th busiest domestic route in the world. You will have plenty of decent priced options.

Just might have to loose a bit of time.

Black Diamond members fall under Priority group 1 so you'll be fine!

I have two Black Diamond tickets and am only in the second category for GF tickets. If the top level membership doesn’t get you a guaranteed ticket then which one does?

Black Diamond are Priority 1 Guarante GF tickets

So I believed, but my email says this:

You have 2 eligible barcodes in Priority Group 2.

Adult: 2 barcode(s)
Concession: 0 barcode(s)
Junior: 0 barcode(s)
Software **** up.

Ring the club tomorrow or if you can get to Alberton, the membership desk at enterance of the Port Club should be attended especially given the girls have a twilight game there tomorrow, so lots of staff will be there tomorrow to hit them up for assistance if no one is appointed to man the membership desk.
