Certainly an interesting call coming up for Geelong with regard to Tom Hawkins. Played in the VFL game on the weekend, didn't see it but seems a bit of a nothing game from him. Been out for quite a while now, can't really see the Cats picking him for the prelim, possibly played his last game. Rohan with a fractured skull in the same game. 😳 Southport beat Geelong with Goober monstering Sam De Koning in the ruck and kicking a couple of goals.

Thoughts on Tomahawk?

I thought he should have retired last year

I think that he is done as well.

How good is Hawthorn's salary cap position? Only 2 players in the top 100 in the league - no wonder they can splash big on Barrass and Battle.

Geelong pretty great management as well, only 3 players in the top 100 and not even super near the top.

How funny is Essendon's list though:

McKay, Merrett, Shiel, Redman, Parish, Wright, Gresham

Merrett is great, Parish is ok, apart from that what do they actually get for their dollars?

Yeah there’s a few who are robbing their clubs blind on this list:
Zac Williams, Simpkin, All of the Essendon players ex Merret, Grundy, Hopper, Griffin Logue 🫠, Darling, Gaff.

Bombers are cooked

Lukosius on a $1M a year for the next two years - wonder how much of that would we would pay to take him off Gold Coasts hands.

Guess it will depend a fair bit on whether we have other targets in mind but if we had the cash and needed to spend it, he'd be a good target.
I'd pay 100% plus Future First for Pick 6

Can we get Graham Wright as COO?

He’s left the Pies.

Carl Dilena is now CEO, leaving the COO position open.
Err did you see why he left? Not a chance we'll get him.

Actually it reminds me of a story I heard about why Roughead left at the start of the year. Or rather, was booted out of the club.

Sorry just realised it was Kelly that I was thinking of, not Wright.
Wright? Kelly? Doesn’t matter.

Now back to what you heard about that Paton wrecking, Battle poaching Roughead fella 🤔
