Undercover Seating​

Due to the difficulty in accurately classifying any seat at the MCG as "undercover", even though there is a roof overhead in some sections of the ground, patrons cannot be guaranteed protection from the elements.

As a guide however, please read below to see where the drip line for each level lies.

Members' Reserve

• Level 1 (M): Row Y
• Level 2 (N): Row H
• Level 3 (P): All undercover
• Level 4 (Q): All undercover

Olympic Stand

• Level 1 (M): Row Y
• Level 2 (N): Row H
• Level 4 (Q): All undercover (please note: no cover in bays Q56-Q57)

Ponsford Stand

There are groups of P2s who got cat 1 seats. And there are P1s who got restricted/standing room. Those are the facts.

Only way I can see P2’s missing out AND P3’s getting a ticket is either were in a big group registering, and there were no tickets left for that many in a group when their time came for allocation (meaning everyone else in the group missed out), or they didn’t tick ‘accept standing room’ (meaning same thing, the whole group missed out). Otherwise I can’t see how P2’s missed out and P3’s scored a ticket.

Unlucky mate - I actually meant the only way P3’s getting tickets and P2’s missing out was what I first said - in that I find it hard to believe P3’s got in before any P2’s (edited my post).

Probably a cautionary tale in there for P2's for next year if trying to purchase more than 2 ticktes.

Perhaps only buy in blocks of two tickets even if it means not sitting with your extended group so you all get to go.

Not sure if there is logic in that, but it could be why some P2's missed out and P3's git in, just a theory.

I am P3 and did NOT tick the box that I would accept standing room tickets.
I did NOT get tickets but I know I was dreaming.
I will be at home on the couch Saturday afternoon.
I just hope the neighbours don’t call the police.

Likewise after the game.. ended up having our ears chewed off last year by Pies supporters at the Casino telling us how brave we played.

Neither are in Fitzroy, but the Cricketers opposite Punt Road oval will be rocking, as will the Royal Richmond, also opposite Punt Road oval, different kinda rocking though (the blinds are pulled down every hour or so for 10 minutes). Both are across the road from the G.

Cheapest corporate tickets is about $1800 in believe.

Does anyone know how or when tickets can be transferred? I got 4 tickets in the ballot, but don't see any way to transfer them to mates.
