The Giants should be really looking to lure out Petracca.
Diamond or a rock, lets go with the rockSo Cal on Trade Radio saying we have some level of interest in Stringer.
I would have been keen on signing him three or four years ago. He seems well past his best now.Don't think Stringer's the right choice.
If peatling goes to west coast, I think we ask for Hawthorn's pick 13 they will give eagles for Barass.Seems like every club in the country is linked to Peatling this trade period. Hopefully it ends up in a bidding war and we get something good out of it (or even keep him!)
I wouldn’t begrudge colleagues looking if other companies were offering more moneyWould the playing group be done with JP after this? To shop yourself around to this extent kinda closes the door on your current teammates a bit. It's hard to say it's for better opportunity it's now just a cash grab.
I don't think so. Nothing wrong with trying to get the best for yourself, especially with the attention he is gettingWould the playing group be done with JP after this? WCE will need to use #13 in some form for Liam Baker. If peatling goes to west coast, I think we ask for Hawthorn's pick 13 they will give eagles for Barass.
Maybe Peatling, 2025r2 for 13,2025r3 at worst for us.
I do agree with the club doing due diligence - absolutely we should examine the shit out of what it would look like and how it would benefit us.Nothing wrong with the club doing their due diligence... if he wants two years it will be guaranteed cash for year 1 and another contract if he hits contract markers (ie 15+ games played). Given the supply/demand dynamics the Giants are faced with annually, these are the kinds of gambles they need to take.
He would win the giants 1-2 games in 2025 just from his conversion and provides flexibility up forward (ie Toby can play more mids if required).
ST KILDA and Greater Western Sydney are among the clubs breathing a sigh of relief, after the AFL informed teams that 'Band 2' compensation picks will fall before North Melbourne's pair of end-of-first round selections.
not at all.Would the playing group be done with JP after this? To shop yourself around to this extent kinda closes the door on your current teammates a bit. It's hard to say it's for better opportunity it's now just a cash grab.
I think we are zero chance at getting g Petracca. Rumours are he is only interested in the biggest clubs, for his Petracca brand. We are far too off Broadway. But it would be remarkable to get him. We'd have to win over his missus/partner who is big on promoting "brand Petracca".
What's wrong with a megatrade? As far as I'm concerned we came out pretty well from the one in 2022.I just hope we don't get caught up in a megatrade again.
I think we could have done better trading directly with Eagles. What's wrong with a megatrade? As far as I'm concerned we came out pretty well from the one in 2022.
They've all done it (or will do it) at some point if their value is high enough.Would the playing group be done with JP after this? To shop yourself around to this extent kinda closes the door on your current teammates a bit. It's hard to say it's for better opportunity it's now just a cash grab.
How much would you be willing to pay? And for how long?!There are seemingly 5 clubs after James Peatling. Some reported offering 5 year deals on decent cash. And yet all I've heard is people want to do that deal for a Future 2nd.
If his value has popped off. Surely we can find a pick closer to 20.
I'd prefer to keep him.
