Darcy Jones is becoming a match winner. His two goals were crucial.
Whitfield to the centre half forward was out of necessity but it worked very well. Something for the coaches to think about.
Keefe did an amazing job against the big Oscar.
Adam Kingsley deserves all the credit. He got criticised in the season, rightly, but he has responded with setting the team up accordingly. His decision to field fast and younger side against Carlton in the wet was a master stroke.

I can't see a downside of playing Keefe again, and dropping Gruz.
Yes, good goal... but otherwise, second game without a sniff.
The Buckley/Taylor/Idun combination looked to have their mojo back again.

I think that makes sense if Briggs is carrying a sore shoulder. Keeffe plays the 'defensive' forward role pretty well and can then chop out in the ruck.
Just got home after being out and only getting occasional score updates - wow. Was not expecting that. Will definitely have to watch the replay.

The other positive is that we achieved that win basically without any influence from Toby. Only 4 touches, maybe his quietest ever game? But the youngsters really stepped up, along with Jesse who was excellent as usual.

With the umpire in seemingly perfect position, why was this called play on?
Just think how far ahead in the Coleman Jesse would be if his name was spelled “Charlie Curnow”
