The $$$ and contract length that is being thrown around how about a future 1st and give a 2nd round pick back (or something else) this year 🤷‍♂️

Be good to death ride them next year
I'm not happy taking pick 25(30) in the draft tbh.
If he's got so many clubs after him id be shopping him for the best pick. End of first round maybe.
Again...if we've offered a 4 year deal on similar money you'd think he stays.
(Love a death ride). Would any club take that gamble to get better next year? One that thinks they are in the window

Did you realise your handle would become a thing for the club to have to consider?

Are you disappointed we didn’t Pay the Perryman?

If he stays will you adjust your handle to PaythePeatlng?

Probably was inevitable as it is with most of our list

No. 900k is about 300k more than I would have paid.

Undecided on new handle (my inkling is I'll go with FinancialFirmforFinn

I had to update my pic. RIP the media guinea pig.

Green for Green?

Aaron Cashman?

Pahey for Fahey?

There's gotta be some names McCartney is working on... it's crazy to have so many players leaving and no one being discussed to come in.

I'd prefer a cheese stringer to the Jake variety, so not taking that seriously at all.
Why did McCartney Leek that to Cal Twomey.
I am not saying it is easy to be in his shoes, I just hope we don't trade 19,20 for 12, then 12,14 for pick 8.
Surely we up the offer to peatling.

PaythePerryman was mentioned on gettable with Cal Twomey, Riley Beveridge a while back. Do you know either of them?

Considering the substantial player turnover this year, I hope the coaching staff look at positional change for the AFL and VFL team.

Perryman wanted more midfield time. Knowing that in hindsight, and considering how poorly the midfield played this year, it makes me wonder why such a move wasn't done.

It took until midyear for Bedford to play a tagging role.

I guess I'm hoping for Kingsley et. al. to be a bit more brave - roll the dice - be unpredictable.

Now's the opportunity to see a refreshed team, and hopefully not lose the likes of Aleer due to lack of opportunity.

BOMBERS KEEPING TABS ON GIANT

ESSENDON has interest in uncontracted Greater Western Sydney utility Conor Stone, who is also weighing up an offer to stay at the Giants.

Stone is among a number of players the Bombers have earmarked as a trade target ahead of next week, given his versatility in being able to play at either end of the ground.

The Giants tabled Stone a two-year contract offer to stay at the club back in July, though there had been intrigue around his future given he still remains unsigned.

Stone played just four senior games this year but was either the substitute or substituted out of all four matches. However, he enjoyed a strong VFL campaign to average 20 disposals and 5.5 marks per game.

The 22-year-old started his VFL campaign as a forward, kicking 16 goals from his first seven matches before he flourished as an intercept defender in the second half of the season.

A former No.15 pick at the Giants from 2020, Stone has battled a number of injury issues that has limited him to just 13 games across his first four years on the club's list.

As previously revealed by AFL.com.au, Essendon also has interest in West Coast's Josh Rotham and Brisbane's Jaxon Prior and has also been monitoring contracted Hawthorn midfielder Finn Maginness. – Riley Beveridge

It’s quite bizarre. Is Sydney that bad/expensive a place to live? Most of us seem to manage on about 1/4 of the average AFL player salary.
According to this SMH article from yesterday - https://www.smh.com.au/politics/fed...ians-save-their-tax-cuts-20240930-p5kela.html

September median house price figures:

Sydney - $1.47 million
Canberra - $966,684.
Melbourne - $925,762
Perth - $830,965
Hobart - $692,504

Adelaide, Brisbane and Darwin medians note quoted in the article.

So I'd say that yes it is incredibly expensive. I imagine rents would be quite a significant percentage higher too than most other cities.

We're well and truly on the backfoot as a result of house pricing, IMO. We just cannot compete with the other cities when it comes to house pricing as Sydney (NSW) has priced itself out of the market. Migration out of the state is quite substantial and only reason why population isn't going backward is because of immigration.
