Harry Oliver probably would have been selected by Richmond before our next. I've been very keen on him, so I'm very happy.
Both selections are very competitive players ... a bit of mongrel in them. Kingers stamping his brand on the selections, I believe.

Logan Smith is the only lock. So we've only got one 'live' pick remaining.
I reckon we figured one of the Key Forwards would be available at our next pick but not Oliver so we took him as a bolter. Great call honestly (assuming we pick a Key with our next)

Reckon we're looking at Angove as a winger. A good mix of speed and endurance, and good delivery into F50.
I’m a little surprised with our strategy. When a couple of these guys slid it’s like we just had tunnel vision. The 3rd bloke we could have taken much later. Hannaford is really going to need to improve tank, his 2km was deplorable.
Not taking one of Armstrong, Shanahan or Whitlock’s is surprising. Oliver did make sense for needs and apparently all lads very high character.

This is criminal management considering we had 3 picks and our 3rd could have gone much later.
I just think these guys get too caught up in operating in a different economy. Value is value, Nth’s first for 24 would have been a gift.

WTF? Did North not call us earlier?
Yeah seems really quite insane that we didn't take the north offer. We had a pick in the 30s that we could use on the Cody bloke and I really doubt anyone else would've picked him before then (except maybe Sydney who also did something crazy) but there's no way not letting Sydney get him is worth more than a F1 from North. There has to be more to the story right? But I genuinely cannot think of any reason why
