Interested in people's thoughts on how we go about getting the quality mid/forward in the Petracca/ Degoey mould that would complement our list nicely. Obviously H Reid would be perfect but not attainable. Maybe getting in the ear of a Humphrey from the Suns? We need to be pretty picky for the coming years.

Echoing the general sentiment here.

At his best he is electric. But can his body hold up? If it does its a great pick-up. If it doesn't its not a disaster considering he'd be lucky to be on 200k a year.

It's gambles like these on game winning players that can win premierships.

Pressure forward - looks first to chase/tackle and accepts goals when they happen (Owies type)
Creative forward - looks first to smartly sneak off his man for turnover creativity goals (Motlop type). where tackling is a team priority rather than a pressure fwd priority.
True hybrid - really is a cross between above two categories

I don't get the frustration around this one..got him for nothing on what most would assume would be a relatively low contract. The bloke can play, hopefully he comes on and if he doesn't, it's far from being the end of the world. We could do a lot worse, and Austin hasn't let us down so far.
