If we give 10 and 11 for Bolton David Walls is officially an idiot
I seriously don’t understand why so many people say stuff like this. It unfairly slanders Walls for things that haven’t happened. Might seem trivial and off hand, but it has a collective effect on his reputation.

You’re not winning brownie points by being the first to call someone an idiot. Wait and see what actually happens.

It's pretty standard posturing from Melbourne for a player with years left on a fresh contract.

But always, for Pickett to be prised out this year is really only any sort of chance of there's some chain reaction of other events that shifts Melbourne's motivations... or maybe Pickett's determination.

On Kozzie, I of course don't know he's particulars with regards to where he stands in the hierarchy of the Picketts but people need to understand there's some different cultural obligations on some of the guys with regards to family leadership. Cyril used to tell his family every year he was homesick and coming home to the Tiwis, it was part of his cultural obligations to do so. Kozzie will of course eventually go home, the mere fact he says it every year might be something he is almost obliged to say depending upon where he sits within a complex family leadership hierarchy.
The advantage Kozzie has is home is a state where he can still play at the highest level, if he chooses.

How long is this wretched thing...?!?!?! Just the same mind-numbing useless crudfest of sh*t every year....a bunch of campaigners posturing on whose got the biggest testicles to give the drooling lickspittle idiots like Morris, Cleary and co annoying airtime - only for a glut of trades to be done before deadline day's final minutes that were spruiked as being "progressing down the line" about 4 months prior. Something like 8 days that could easily be narrowed down to 3, or even 2. Hahahaha, gotta love the AFL theatre of shithousery :poo:

What a pile of utter w***ery wankdoodles

Shakespeare reincarnate.

Simon Garlick was interviewed about Warner and said "we expect him to be playing for Sydney next year, but stranger things have happened"

The situation with Kozzie is no doubt the same it has always been: Kozzie wants a trade to Freo, Melbourne won't play ball. Even the most optimistic reports/rumours have firmly positioned Melbourne as the barrier to a trade. After the Bolton trade is done, and keeping our options open for Warner, we don't have the godfather deal that would make them profoundly reevaluate.

I tend to view it that Kozzie won't force his way out or put enough pressure on Melbourne to at least officially ask for a trade. The view has been that we are basically the Port replacement club for this season and he's been out/in for the last 3 off seasons. Why would Melbourne cave when the pressure from Kozzie to get out is as low as Fremantle v Port.

kozzie and bolton need to hurry up and just say they want to come to freo, that the mrs is preggers and they need the support.

Then we need to start a highly inappropriate, completely over the top campaign that holding young indigenous families in a city against their will is modern day stolen generation...
If Warner gets done this year fair to say that'd be huge across a few fronts.

Sydney would be on tenterhooks with the deal. Obviously there could be a massive difference in the level of cost for Chad this year to next (across his form, the resources we have, let alone contract status). That's why that deal is a so far in front of the Pickett deal as far as the timing this year.

For all of everything else, getting Bolton and Warner in this year would give an extra aura of a "destination club", let alone the tarting up of our premiership-getting allure.
