If I didn’t have absolute prime seats, I would’ve given it up a while back.

It’s becoming harder and harder to justify the exorbitant price when compared with other clubs.

When the other four games come back, they’ll be charging over $1,000 which is simply ludicrous.

You are dreaming if you think those 4 games are coming back and that we can stay in profit without raising membership fees substantially. I'd say charging over $1000 won't cut it, and we will see those games go elsewhere.

Just received the clubs 'Welcome to Season 2023' emails. Feeling the love.

So as an interstate member, I'd been trying to get my GA seat on level 3 and buy 1 other since they went on sale. Nope couldn't do it. Spoke to the membership department twice, and they squarely blamed ticketmaster. Spoke to them this morning for a third time again and they assured me I could buy another ticket for my wife. Nope. So after a bit of mucking around I figured out to do that, I had to upgrade myself to level 1, and then I could buy a ticket for my wife. So all in all, for my interstate membership, with no games in my state, I could pay an extra 120 bux, (plus my membership cost, flights and hotel) to see 1 game of footy in the year. No thanks,,,,,as it turns out, could pay 50 bux for 2 GA tix when they went on sale. Sorry NMFC its not ticketmaster its just blatant greed, and milking members loyalty for all its worth. Membership a complete waste of money when its easier and cheaper to just buy tix when they go on sale, no stuffing around with codes, and waiting lists, being on hold for 45 minutes with the membership department, being lied to, and the complete angst and time wasting of it all. I'll still support the club financially by buying raffle tickets.....at least there is some remote probability that I get a return on my financial outlay rather the drain that membership has been over the last 20 years since I left Melbourne.

I suspect that the club and Ticketmaster only cater for the standard options (Melbourne based members with non-reserved seating), meaning cases like myself or interstate members like yourself are edge cases.

I have remained persistent though and managed to get seats for the kids next to us in our current reserved seating. Which is a good thing as I wasn't in a good place mentally with the club due to the Good Friday ticketing challenges.

The issues aren't new. These issues are able to be solved. You know what the missing link is here?
The club. Those on the board and in senior positions. They don't get North Melbourne people. They don't understand that a little support and understanding goes a long way.
It has been like this for decades.
North says its greatest asset are its people and its members. Yet its member financial support that is the reason this club exists.
Never forget Keep North South.
Never forget the Arden fund to help with the facilities.
Never forget the donations we all made in 2020 and 2021 when we couldnt go to the footy. We did that. We love this club and the people who run the joint dont get it.

And time and time again our support is continually taken for granted and were treated like shit.


I think the worst thing the club has done in recent times is distance itself and commercialise the relationship between club and member.
It is all purely transactional.

Heath, left this website because he was rightfully called out for the replacement games in Tasmania nonsense.
And rightfully so he has moved on from the club as his time was up.

Even his replacement has distanced himself from members on social media. Some people may agree with it and that club staff should not be mixing with members. I say bullshit. Stand your ground. Members are passionate. If someone goes over the top call it out and most of the time its just passion overflowing. It is never personal.

The only bloke I know who has continued to support the club publicly and not build a barrier between himself and supporters is Euge. Yes he hasnt been employed by the club in 12 years, but he gets it as an administrator and as a supporter.
We need more people like him not less.
Give me Euge over Jenn or Amarafio any day.

I’m not suggesting the fees stay the same, I’m pointing out that we have demonstrably the worst value memberships in the league. At least $10 a game worse.

And we’re taken for granted year on year.

Yep, so the Lions do what's called a "Flexi 11" its about 230 bux this year,,,,,you can go to 11 games, or go to 1 game and take 10 mates. Couple of season's back North were playing 1 game at the GABBA, the "interstate membership" was more than the Lions Flexi 11. So downgraded my North membership to the "no games" and bought a Lions membership, took the family to the North v Lions game (might have been the first 100+ drubbing under noble), and then went to a few Lions games with some mates on a friday night. Called the membership department for a discussion, and was told...." but if North make the finals you wont be eligible for final's tickets!".....laughed and replied I'm pretty happy taking my chances on that one.
