Just saw this pop up on YouTube.....Tigger supporters losing their minds in the comments :drunk:

I'm undecided on whether we should split 2 or not, but based on those comments I kind of hope we do a trade like he's suggesting with the Tigers just to see their supporters lose their shit.

After watching more footage today and having a look at his numbers this season more closely, I’m coming around to him.

But not at 2 and only if we have more than one pick in the top 15.

The BONT!!!!!!

Pick 2 all the way.

Best overhead - check

Longest penetrating kick - check

Most running bounces - check

Hits score board as much or more than anyone - check

Up there with smith for most clearances

Hasn’t played a bad game in 2024 across Coates, academy, champs, vfl

1:28 evades 2 tacklers and then hits nice kick - ok

1:34 clearance - lol too slow?

2:45 wins one vs 2 - no words needed

Pick 2

Can see more Fyfe comparisons than Bont. Kid can play.

Trainor at 10 urgh...

What is it with all these people STILL thinking we are desperate for Key Defenders?

Utter waste of a pick

When we have Wil Dawson up and going alongside Logue, that frees up Comben as our intercept defender which he has already shown he is more than capable of this year and will only get better at it with more experience.

At the same time, we have 1 key forward in Larkey, a stop gap in Darling, a project in Maley and a contributor in Teakle. If Larkey was to go down, the cupboard is bare.

As for small forwards we have Curtis who is sort of a small forward plus a couple of bargain basement/ Reject Shop guys. No high-end talent.

At least Tauru can play forward and doesn't have a history of concussion issues.

if we got trainor we could swing chom forward

if we split 2 could get both tauru and trainor

Yeah, no thanks

This year, for list balance purposes we need 4 1st round picks in my opinion.

1 x Midfielder
1 x gun Small Forward
2 x Key Forwards

I liked watching Lalor's highlights.

There's a bit of Petracca about him.

Just about every draftee ranking I see has him in that 4-8 range....is pick 2 too much?
Hey Dan, on potential, no, of all the midfielders {I think some of these boys are going to rock} Sam in my opinion has the most potential, I said this earlier this year that he could be absolute top shelf and I haven't changed my opinion, I know plenty are not convinced because Sam & Finn had an injury riddled year, but that happens, what people must remember is you don't lose your ability or your potential, its still there. Wouldn't be a bit surprised if Richmond took him at pick #1, some people think it may be a reach, I don't.

Geez I hope we trade out 2 and f2 and get 3 players this year.

Armstrong or Tauru
Whitlock, Faull or Gerreyn
Hannaford or Berry

Either keep Drury or rookie River Stevens.

Either way, that'd be a exceptional off-season I reckon.

For sure Richmond will be trying to work out who we want the most at pick 2, threaten to, or actually, take him to more force our hand.

I firmly believe some fans just don't get it. I think with this even draft phrase that the supporters are so excited, its like kids at a shop that have been given lots of money to buy toys, some of these fans want to buy lots and lots of toys where I think the best ploy is to buy the best toys, now they might be more expensive but not all kids will have them!

Tigers are going to trade up and their fans aren't going to be happy, can see it as plain as day, IF they don't and lets just say St Kilda or Melbourne trade up to get that pick 2 from us I hope for their sake they nail that pick 6, after they get what's left over, gee with the picks they have this is a big gamble, the choice is being taken out of their hands when with what they have, they should get the best and dictate who they want, instead of being dictated to!
I'm hoping Richmond, Adelaide, St Kilda and Melbourne all want the same toy and a bidding war erupts lol

Because most of the ones we have are not very good. Comben showed a bit and then we’re resting all our hopes on Wil Dawson. We need an elite key back more than a forward.

Watched 5 seconds of this with the sound muted. Take your stupid f*ckin hat off, your indoors you silly campaigner.
****ing finally someone agrees with me. I just got called an old campaigner on our board ☹️

We arent going to take a small forward other then Stevens this year. Next year our stocks are Curtis, Konstatnty, Stevens and RHJ.

Our first priority has to be a KPF unless we view Will Dawson as a KPF. Tauru is going to be viewed as a future foorward due to his assets but is the least prove of all the available ones. Armstrong, Shanahan, Jitlock, Faul all have more runs on the board but in my opinion lower ceilings. Part of why this draft is so tough.

Ill still call it we are taking 2 to the draft. FOS is far safer then anyone at 6 (which at least would need to be involved). I think we trade our F1 for another throw at the stumps though. Not sure what that looks like though. Tigers obvious trading partners because they will want to trade some picks to next year. The issue will be the value.

I don’t see us or anyone taking stevens
Konstanty is a much better speculative small forward anyway

But I’m not ruling out a high end small if we split pick 2

We need all the endurance and smarts we can get. I love what you say about his balance of uncontested and contested possession and his marking and kicking seem like real points of difference.

He also seems to have the size and endurance to have an impact straight away across HB/HF.

I realise speed is sexy but smarts win you games, especially when he would be surrounded by LDU, Wardlaw and Kerch.

Would not be disappointed if he was at North 2025.
Langford reminds me a bit of Hayden Young. Does it all, and does it well.

Could play HB and HF at a pinch.

Has a beautiful left peg on him, too.

I don't get the Ziebell comparisons. Moves better, and has better footy iq in tight and better hands imo.
