Think you are being a bit facetious there perplexedNot sure the relevance of the question. Geelong have a well balanced team. I'm suggesting that compared to us Geelong, and many top teams, have invested very little in their midfield. They have spread their assets across the field. We seem to have this idea that we must have a perfect midfield before we can invest anywhere else.
Our midfield isn’t that perfect tbhNot sure the relevance of the question. Geelong have a well balanced team. Yep. Still quite a few seat fillers in our side IMO. Can think of 6 blokes I don’t want kicking the ball without even tryingOur midfield isn’t that perfect tbh

My preferences are still Shanahan, Gerreyn and Armstrong (if available)
Gerreyn not just as a big key forward but also his tap work in the ruck is class.
If TT fulfilled his potential the midfield would be setDespite what everyone says it certainly isn’t. Probably would have been if Phillips was a hit and Thomas wasn’t a douche.
But at some point we just need to pull the trigger on some high end talls. This yeah has to be the year.
Can easily add to the midfield compared to decent talls.
We also, quite possibly , wouldn’t have pick 2 but more like pick 4.If TT fulfilled his potential the midfield would be set
We gunna be fine with either IMO. Lot to like about Lalor though. Got “beast mode” vibes. Super aggressive player.Cant make my mind up. I think im now on the Lalor train for pick 2
If TT fulfilled his potential the midfield would be set
Absolute best case
Charlie curnow
Second best case
Tom Stewart
Likely case
Ridley
Too competitive to not make it imo
Feels like a Mac Andrew type maybe less athletic but more contested.Nothing like Tom Stewart or Siciliy imo. Just doesn’t have the kicking skill and positioning IQ.
Best case may well be someone like Curnow, worst case is a competitive athletic backman who you can’t trust with ball in hand, say someone like Sam Frost.
After the last few years I think we desperately need Getafix. If wet get Asterix (Alix) we should also get Obelix ( Gerreyn)

Was never going to happen. A ****head that never took footy seriously and all the good judges could tell from miles off.If TT fulfilled his potential the midfield would be set
That would only be the case if we were going with 36 on the main list. It appears we will go with 38 on the main list, so 6 rookies is our full allocation (including our 2 extra rookies - otherwise we’d only have 4).
Keep 2 and just trade f1 for pick 11I'm staying strong on this opinion till we take pick 2 on draft night:
This is what I think will happen.
Picks 6+11+20 for pick 2 and North's F1
Thinks that's a good deal all round, if you guy by the media and draft boards. Which I have for the sake of this exercise.
Risk and reward on both sides, but values our F1 around pick 14-15ish when you combine it back into parts of the 11+20
OR
6+20+RichF1 for 2 and our F1
F1's aren't worth anything in next year's draft, apparently.......so values pick 2 at a little over 6+20.
It's into next year which is worthless* because of this "supa-draft".
*apparently
You'd nearly do that too....but I think it's all about the combo......don't think that gets up. Richmond would say not enough.Keep 2 and just trade f1 for pick 11

Just think giving up 2 and the tigers losing 6 +20 is laughable. You'd nearly do that too....but I think it's all about the combo......don't think that gets up. Richmond would say not enough.
If you put everything together, and what the media and tigers supporters, which is kind of one and the same thing, then this is the best result for every body I think.
For arguments sake:
6+20 for 2 is just a bit light on, in Richmond's favour.
F1 for 11, again seems in Richmond's favour, so balancing out with their F1 back to us. Everybody gets what they want.....Tigers supporters will hate it, as they haven't ripped our face off, so it's probably about right. But maybe it gets sorted by us taking their F2 instead of F1...big difference in that trade then though.
Current draft >>>>>> future draft - always pay more for known playersBut we laughed at Wet Toast for trading there’s for 12 and 14. Or whatever it was.
