How many accounts does Nostra have?

They should be offering up 7+8 to tempt us, but they won't. Would be the smart play IMO......get pick 2 in the door
History suggests that's too much of a drop from pick 2. You're getting into areas of less certainty.

As for the Richmond suggestions of F1 for a late teens pick, apart from the fun of draft night, once reality kicks in, half the blokes in that range will be playing local footy in 5 years.

He usually gets it right by now , doesn’t mean he doesn’t oscillate over the journey but his top 10s usually are there abouts
"Past performance is not an indicator of future performance, please reads the T's&C's"

Think this year, with essentially 3 clubs attempting to manipulate the top 10 has meant there's a lot of bullsh!t out there.

Tigers could be right in how they've handled it, time will tell.

Just take FOS!! The rest will sort itself out.

I didn't say we'd take it.......interesting machinations if we explored it though.

I really don't understand why so many North supporters would be so willing to trade our F1 for not much more than a bag of chips. I'm confident we'll improve significantly next year, but 8 wins from a challenging fixture list probably still only lands us 16th position because I suspect the Crows will improve and Melbourne had 8 more wins than us last season.

A top three pick in a draft that is touted as being better at the pointy end than this year should be treasured. Top three picks have a good 200 gamer strike rate, so why would you trade that in for a punt on a player picked in the mid teens to early twenties? That would be sheer lunacy.

I'm still hopeful we can split #2 for something decent because the potential suitors have so far played their cards close to their chest in the hope of bagging a bargain. On trade night FOMO might set in for some of them to motivate a reasonable offer. A bidding war would be even better. That would take the pressure off Brady to frivolously trade away our F1 out of desperation. Here's hoping, but I'm not confident he won't do it.

If they looked at it as trading 7 (which drifts) and Battle for 2 it is more palatable. I still think there are some plan B preparations, hence Travaglia visiting yesterday.

Oh god, the salt and copium on the Richmond board is magnificent.

We are at the first stage of grief of the realization that FOS (who they have been marking in their best 22's for about 8 weeks with our pick) is going to be at Arden St in 24 hrs barring themselves buckling on Lalor.

Most of them are still sticking to the same delusion as the last month that this is part of Blair's master manipulation plan and Rawlings will fold to them.

Going to be utterly hilarious when Thomson Dow and Jack Ross line up on FOS and McKercher next season.

You realise it's inappropriate when quoting posts from other boards to include the posters names right? Maybe the North board does it different but we would get a warning for that.

Secondly those guys your quoting are all FOS fans, we have just as many who think he is being overated big time based on last year.

Hoping like hell we stay far away from any of your proposed trades. Rather we keep 6, 10 & 11 to ourselves. If we get who we want then use picks later for any teams knocking on our door.

Good luck on Wednesday, hope you get FOS.

Not sure Rawlings will be making trades willy nilly on draft night for no reason. There'd be targeted players that we'd be after.

It needs to be understood in context.

We aren't talking Taylor Garner here, we are talking in context of the likes of Nick Daicos, Jagga Smith and Colby McKercher.

Matt Rowell, Hayden Young, Chad Warner, Christian Petracca would be considered lower possession high impact players. As would Harley Reid.

They all average "only" 23 touches a game.

McCluggage averages 24.

FOS will be a 20+ disposal player, no doubt about it.

They just don't average the 30+ like Daicos, Serong and Sheezel will.

If your winger/outside ball user is getting that much of the ball, something odd is occuring anyway. I doubt even Colby gets that much of it in that role.

On the flip side, I like WT stating that Colby is being moved to half forward/wing/middle where he can be damaging going inside 50.

People forget, he was a terrific forward/mid as a bottom ager, he's a natural goal kicker.
Maybe. He had a shithouse year. Bad injury run but when he was fit looked like he wasn't interested. We've ****ed up too many first rounders to be taking a chance on a kid that didn't average 20 touches in his draft year.

Agree - until we can show we can make a leap up the ladder our future 1st should be off limits.

I'm sure we'd explore, or have explored, every scenario.

The idea that we're desperate to trade pick 2 is media driven horseshit. Everything is open to the right offer. But, regardless of being an "even" draft, there's not many players without some kind of hairs on them. Get passed the top 5, including Ashcroft, and there's question marks seemingly.

Lol - richo has been on the disco - biscuits!!

You realise its inappropriate to tell us what we can and can't do on our board??

Are we talking about the same Wardlaw? The one I'm talking about had a 30 touch and a goal game last year?
Yes, I'm not sure Wardlaw will be a low possession player. We've seen what he can do already. More onfield minutes = more possessions.

Yep. We looked at moving down with pick 3 the previous 2 years. Brady even said it publicly two years ago just like he did this year.

It's a media beat up because we have nothing between 2 and 62 this time.

And yet was one of the standout mids in Victoria, an AA, in a stronger year for midfielders against better competition in 2023.

Lol, you come onto to our board after all that and warn us about forum rules?

I didn't tag them, screenshots are allowed. No problems with people being called out as idiots.

Our mod squad will be in touch.

its very amusing to see the saints miss out on the 6 best mids

they were .3 percent away from being able to nab one

If we draft Bo Allan at pick 7 like it's being rumoured, our board will melt but Smillie will then fall to Saints.

So I'm guessing they are a chance still.

FOS will look great in Blue on White stripes, will suit him.
