Our f1 is worth a pick 7-10 (live pick)

otherwise we better hold it

and look to trade our f2 instead
Our F2 will only get us 28 or 31 off * imo. Those early 20's teams (Tigers, GWS, Swans etc.) will be able to get a mid/late F1 off one of those finals teams or a Bombres team desperate to trade back in.
So if the recruiters want someone inside 25 it's moving the F1 or splitting 2, and we don't appear to be splitting 2.

Agree with what our F2 will get so we should sit tight and miss out on those between 10 and 25. That was their choice when trading 25 away. No need to make that trade worst by moving a top 5 pick.

What a player. Magnificent to watch. Looked like his stride was about twice as long as every one else when he ran. Unbelievable balance -always on his feet and a good leap as well. The complete footballer.
It always makes me laugh when people talk about Phil Carman costing Collingwood the ‘77 flag.

They always forget Keith Greig was missing as well.

Odds that no bid on Kako before #9 ? did the dodo have a hand in trading it away as a parting gesture, would be kind of hilarious if so.

It’s a completely different scenario if they still had pick 9. If they still had it, clubs would 100% bid before their pick so they couldn’t double dip.

I would probably agree if it was me, just trade F2 and take Sims/Stumpf/Nichols/GMan etc.
We'll see how desperately they want Tauru/Shanahan or two of Whitlocks/Trainor/Faull/Hannaford etc.
Maybe they'd be splitting the top 6 pick next year for talls if they keep it given the midfield is pretty set after FOS.
That might be why they're prepared to do it this year. We'll see what happens.

It is crazy. The reigning Premiers have the luck of having priority access to the best player in the draft and then according to this article get to pick him at the huge discount of pick 5 even before the ridiculous 20% father-son discount is applied. They are practically getting him for free.

By comparison, if memory serves me correct, the last time we had priority access to a quality player, Adelaide came in much earlier than expected at pick 8 to force us into paying overs for TT who then went on to implode in his personal life to make us regret ever making that investment in him to really rub it in. North's bad luck knows no bounds.
Didn’t Brisbane also bid on LMac early?

My all-time favourite player is the expected Guernsey presenter for us tonight.

Yes, I'm that old, I didn't get to see him often as living in Canberra, the North games were only televised 4 or 5 times a year, but he was great to watch. The guy could literally walk on water. :)
Imagine getting your jumper presented by Mitch Wallis
