We could trade up to GC pick perhaps with F4?

Plays like LMacWhy didn't Sydney match?
Thought Alger would be picked earlier. I’d be happy to nab himAlger, Champion and Ben Barrett
Guessing they don't rate him as much as others on the boardWhy didn't Sydney match?
I don't follow it, but I've seen some crazy stuff in the states IIRC where huge capital is traded out for the now... I'm probably wrong but aren't there things put in place sometimes to if a team finishes to low the pick is then transferred to the next year? Way more complicated i know but it makes sense in that if you have any asset now, then you have it and its solid.I think it suggests something more than just the strength of the draft. I reckon there's a shift in perspective in list management.
The shift is that clubs are willing to give up 'value' in the future in order to get something now, even if on surface value it appears they're losing out on objective value. I'm aware of 2 other clubs that tried to trade into the back end of the draft last night for future 1's and were knocked back.
Most of the giving a pick now for next year will be clubs that are trying to dodge a bid that swallows up their pick ALA * with Kako.
We'll have to wait until next year to see whether this is true or not, but I'm getting the impression that it's more to do with a shift in perspective rather than the perceived strength of this draft.
Because he plays like LMacWhy didn't Sydney match?
Surely we don't take River before one of them?Dodson, Champion, Josh Murphy, Jasper Alger, Gabriel Stumpf, Day-Wicks,
Zac Johnson, Luca Greggo, Phoenix Hargrave, Pat Retschko, Evan Bradley, Nathaniel Sulzberger
All still available.
Twomey mentioned that WC might not match if he gets a bid in the ND. He is really good mates with RJH so it would be good to pair them up together! Is it possible to get Champion?
Has Dodson gone? I lost track.
