I think there was genuine interest in pick 3 and Maye but NE needed something stupid to move off it

Kraft wouldve done a Blankx100 if they traded out of there. No way would you pass up the opportunity on Maye (or even McCarthy) given the dire straits the Pats were in for a QB. Win now mode for Kraft i am sure. Now they can trade their 34 for Ayuik and build on that.

Unless you have a top 3 pick, the best time to draft a QB is when you dont need to draft a QB. because then its a QB you love for the future falling in your lap.

But this QB class with 6 first round QB's is going to get a bunch of people fired.

I think Aiyuk re-signs after they took Pearsall, hes more a replacement for Deebo than Aiyuk on the outside. Deebo gone for a 4th tomorrow.

The Penix pick might also show some concern with Kirk's Achilles. so he might play at stages and get a start or 2.

Kirk wont see out the deal, they will cut him in 26 for ~$25m dead cap.

Clear cut top 3 QBs in this draft, and all three teams picking 1-3 needed a QB. No brainer for NE to sit pat. I dont particularly like Maye, but you never know with QBs (the Darnold draft for instance). I think youll be right tho....six QBs taken first round, kinda like that Darnold drsft QB class, a number of them will bust. Law of averages, theres always first round bust QBs since time began.

I think McCarthy is the most sure fire long term starter of them all, dont see him failing with how its set up around him, perfect situation for a rookie QB. That doesnt mean I think hell be the best of the QBs, just that I think he is least likeliest to bust

Bears done great putting pieces around Williams but his coaching still concerns me. If they had hired someone like Ben Johnson or Bobby Slowik this offseason id say hes pretty much bust proof also.

If the Bills can get creative with the Cap they should be making a trade with the 9ers [or Cinci for higgins]. otherwise passing on the WR's the did late today will haunt them forever.

But i would rather a rookie deal WR then having to pay big money for one you get in a trade.

They have the first pick tomorrow and id be amazed if they dont draft a WR, im sure they wanted Thomas, once he was taken they had a tier drop to their next guy and were happy to get some extra draft capital... I agree Minny is the perfect landing spot for a rookie regarding the long term aspect of it. JJ wont dominate early but bust potential is low.

Maye i think in 5 years time will be be the best of the lot but also wont be relevant early.

Daniels is the walk in the door WOW factor who will compete early and look the best but his game may not stand up to the rigors of the NFL in the long term.

Question marks and pros and negatives for all of them as usual and it will be an intriguing watch.

You would think the Skins will draft protection for him as well as a few more weapons in the coming days but he gets a nice division to be in that is extremely volatile and up and down. I like Daniels in Washington with what they currently have and even more so if they draft well tomorrow as their is a heap of late round value this year.

I wanted Travis on day 3 to sit behind Dak.

He could be ok in the right system and given time as we rarely let our OL go to shit and neglect it.

I think the want for a new deal will scare off more teams. Felt Aiyuk was most likely to move. Feel the 9ers would want too much for Deebo, Aiyuk i feel is a 2nd and a pick next year based on performance like a 2025 4th that can move to a 3rd
