Yeah he is getting traded or cut in March now. Not worth waiting the extra year for better cap savings now for a player who is always hurt. Prob should of done it 12 months ago seems like the issues he had leading to us suspending him late last season were never really fixed.

Even if he was healthy I doubt we would of done anything in the playoffs anyway. Offence starts slow too often and pass rush is far too inconsistent

I really wanted to see him break the record - but we don't have a lot to play for this weekend, so this is the smart, pragmatic decision.

It would have been great to give him the opportunity as it's great to see records broken, but without a bye heading into the playoffs it's a sensible approach
