Training 2024 Pre-season training

Rumour is he is quite happy at the Dees, both a good fit for each other.

Says a lot about Melbourne's culture when they were literally the only club willing to offer Hunter a contract. I'm sure others know the stories but there's a lot that's gone on that hasn't been reported with him, and at the end of the day, other 16 other clubs largely agreed with Bevo in the sense that his actions caused a breakdown of trust that would render him unemployable in a competitive environment in the AFL.

Interesting squads and gives a lot of guys a big opportunity in the ‘ones’ if you can call it that. Lobb vs Darcy head to head ruck/fwd best man wins?

Real shame both games aren’t televised as can’t get down tomorrow, is it too much to ask the club to record/stream the second game too?

But plenty to look out for in the first game at least

Hey guys, hawks fan here, but in enemy territory but I have a quick question about parking at whitten oval. Is there much parking there, I’m planning to go tomorrow and taking the train is a bit of a trek for me so I was wondering if there is much parking there? I had a quick look on google maps and there seems to be a carpark out the front, but I’ve read that that isn’t open to the public, can anyone confirm this, or if I show up early enough can I park there? Thanks in advance

Train station is 100m from the ground. Driving in the west is a nightmare currently due to the volume of infrastructure being built.

Ahh yep. I was going from the AFL release.

What’s the go with the split squads? Are they just wanting to blend the sides? Will be tricky getting any sort of consistency out of the hit out when neither side is anywhere near full strength.

Looks like next weeks hit out will be our only genuine prep before round 1. Not ideal.

The carpark is open to the public but pretty small so likely to be full - players and staff park there. Should be plenty of parking available in the local streets either side of Barkly st. The station carpark will be pretty full on a weekday.

Yeah I’ve got Kayo so will watch the first, would be nice to get both though! But yeah watching some of the other games briefly it’s been pretty awful coverage
