Training 2024 Pre-Season

The way the article reads is that he’s on an individual program when he’s at St Kilda training, to increase his tank, and then he’s using Sandy sessions to continue to get touch.

It’s just a case of he needs a few extra running sessions between now and round 1, without forgoing football based conditioning and skills.

Anyone wonder the media writes speculative bullshit. Our own supporters can’t help but to assume the worst and draw conclusions

Being sent to VFL training to work on 'bridging professional standards' clearly indicates there is some sort of issue they need to address with him that doesn't needed addressed with the other draftees.

Not that big of a deal, but noteworthy and not an every day occurrence. Hopefully he can learn from it quickly and address what he needs too.

I’m not potting him. But Collard is a worse runner and a bigger life transition. Hope he kills it, genuinely
Collard a worse runner?

Fox Sports wrote "Collard then impressed at the draft combine earlier this month with a solid 2km time trial result of 6:32 before running the fastest agility test of any prospect (8.157 seconds) and finishing fourth in the 20m sprint (2.923 seconds)."

Draft combine results suggest otherwise.

No-one will pot Arie when he's kicking over the press to our goal side advantage.

What?

Why are you calling him "Pot Arie" ???

Is the kid smoking pot as well now !!

Jesus, this kid is an absolute disaster!!

Not as quick in a sprint or as agile as Collard but Arie's 2km time was reported as 6:26 here.

So he was pretty decent over that distance.

Its probably "attitude", i'm not going to lose sleep over such a late pick.
If it is i hope its nipped in the bud now, so we don't end up with the ego driving it like Clarry.
Its not like it is Paddy "all or bust " McCartin.

For interest Arie running with Crouch and Jones. Putting in the big effort ( from what I have seen in the past). Up 7 seconds on Crouch and Jones. Boy is running hard, this lap starting to struggle just a bit.

Edit: finished 10 seconds up on Jones and about 20 up on Crouch.

Second block of running Arie 10 seconds ahead of Jones, 30+ ahead of Crouch.

So far his repeat sets are fine.

Just needed to find the right motivation
