What's the term for preseason bolters again? Is it February Flyers or something?
Allison might be capable of that, but he's never passed the eye test in the Sandy games I've sat through. You can see it in his own face, he's got the Raph Clarke eye of the newborn lamb.

Careers just slip by for some players without them working out what level of hunger and intensity is required to make it unless you ooze talent.

I wish him the best though. Something might twig if RTB puts a rocket up him, but I think it's unlikely.

Both my grand parents played big league footy, 1 uncle played for essendon and another played VFL for Traralgon....

I couldn't kick a kids sherrin past 30 metres....

Pedigree means stuff all...

They joined in the 90's for a couple of seasons after dominating the Gippsland League for years and years.

Saints connection - Joffa Cunningham was their first (and only?) coach.

Went to training for a bit.
Ground soaked, water splashing around as Ming, Hammer, Owens, Steele ran around the boundary.

Thing I noticed most was the match sim in the wet was that the vast majority of kicks & handballs hit the target.
Disposal is clearly one area of focus, and fitness cos some of the boys look bigger & ripped

The expectation was that the boys came back fit.

All had individual programs this off season.

Wasn’t the case last off season because of what happened and the upheaval etc

Plan was to load the boys up last summer (injuries backfired) get everyone up to speed on expectations and this offseason going forward would be more about the actual football skills etc

Hence why so many of the boys are back in ripping shape. RTB has massive expectations and if you fall below them you just embarrass yourself when 40 other blokes are meeting expectations

Yeah the club mentioned on the website the other day about how they have tailored programs this year compared to last.

Not much to see today, shithouse weather but there were a few running laps (think several of them have had minor surgeries) and emphasis on foot skills and disposal in general, fwiw thought it was night and day between what we saw during the season, but I say that with caution because it is pre season and everyone's tearing the house down etc. Need to see it against opposition.

So what. What I was saying was factual. He has a number of rellies that played footy at the top level. So he does have a footballing pedigree.
