I'm sure he's put on weight but still a fair way off I think. needs to work on his competitiveness.

Fair enough, i agree as a forward he needs to work on competitiveness. It'd be hard so far this preseason when you're away from the main group and drills even if what's keeping him out is minor. Hopefully he can get back into contact soon

honestly wouldn't have a clue. when drafted I personally said I'd give him 2 years to develop before thinking he's even close to selection.
Still a fair way off finding out. Hasn't got the physical attributes yet to make that call. Obviously hampered by the F50 being full of hacks taking up space. I'm just not sold on his tricks. JVR was always a contested beast. Had presence. Kicked the ball really well. Jefferson doesn't have anything that really stands out. Important year for him. Needs to show he's got something that will make him dangerous at senior level.

JVR was ignored for the first half of the Casey season , when they started looking for him was when he showed his worth .
Gotta have confidence in the players ahead of you when you're looking for targets. He was still a pup while Tmac and Brown etc are veterans. Probably natural to have more faith in the names. But JVR turned it around to be the man. Demand the ball. Jefferson doesn't have that from what I've seen so far. I don't care if Casey are losing every week, surely the focus is on developing this guy, Adams, Verall etc this season. Hopefully they're given room to do that.

If I was coach McDonald and Brown would be playing in the Casey seconds all season as punishment for staying around. (thats assuming they actually are fit to play of course)

Hopefully Tmac stays down back and Brown stays injured. I know that sounds harsh but it’s gotten to the point where we don’t even want them playing at VFL level as we’d rather get a look at younger guys having more responsibility. I don’t blame either of them for taking their full contracts but we owe them nothing this year.
Good to hear Clarry was among the match sim today.
