New look...comments appreciated. Anyone else maybe (Flame suit on) thinking of a say Conway, Naismith, Sweet Ruck line up and banking the cash elsewhere, obviously subject to selections injuries form leading up to RND 1

like your side, you have a couple there that will surprise a few imo.
You are making heaps of cash elsewhere so I would replace Sweet with Finbar thus handcuffing to Xerri
and give you a swing with Jackson. If Xerri gets injured gives you flexibility and good for the bye’s.
Little quote from Rory Laird interview yesterday said Dawson was tagged last few games of last year and he could go forward and back a bit if he cops the same this year.

Powell is having a great preseason by all reports but i'm still not sure how much midfield opportunity he will get. And if he does get a crack in the midfield, he going to have to hold his form to maintain his spot. I also can't be confident there is enough meat on those bones $$$ wise. That said he could easily prove me wrong.

The rest looks pretty good.

Cheers for the feedback, appreciated.

Out of interest what is your cutoff for super premo definition? There were only 3 mids averaging north of 117 last yr and 1 of them was Clarry. Butters and LDU averaged 113-114.
That's fair when you look at it closely. I didn't realise it was so few.
If I were going short in the Mids I would want as much certainty as I could muster. So someone like Bont or a 'healthy' Oliver would be a must. Both Butters and LDU only have the one year of premo scoring under their belts. It's not beyond the realm of possibility that they could take half a step back which might leave you in a rough spot. I imagine Butters will see increased attention this year.
You do have Daicos and Gawn as captain options so I don't hate the way you have gone

How big a gamble would that ruck selection i mentioned be, outside of the Gawn Grundy and Xerri i dont see much value between rookie rucks and low to mid pricers

Personally have been doing my best to get the Xerri ownership up as I would like to run it, but if Gawn ownership
stays the same it’s safer to swim with the tide than against it.

Gone with only 6 round 0 players (Coleman, Williams, Gibcus, Gawn, Billings & Macrae) and only 1 premium from round 0 (Gawn)

Decided id run with Sweet and Conway in the hope they both make 200k+ which is more than i can be confident any forward rookie will make. The idea would then be to downgrade to a R/F at base price and have Jackson as season long cover.

Hoping that out of Fyfe, Harmes & Billings, i get at least 2 decent scores in the first 6 rounds when its best 18. I feel like i have a decent amount of genuine guns (Sicily, Bont, Butters, LDU) & premiums with potential upside (Young, NWM, Rozee, Newcombe, Steele, Gawn, Jackson) and then lots of mid-pricers who have scoring history (Coleman*, Williams, Fyfe, Harmes, Billings) and rookies are placeholders but i think ive spent a fair amount on them so money shouldn't be too much of an issue even though i only have $5,200
remaining.

I was going to post this as an X v Y v Z but I think there's a bit too much going on so doing it this way.

Each of these has the same defence (Daicos Sicily Stewart Young Williams Coffield, Gibcus Hore)
Edit: Daicos could also be swung to mids depending on rookie situation

Would love to know which people like most (or least)

#1 (8.1k itb):

#2 (Brayshaw could be Serong but I slightly prefer Brayshaw at this stage, 41.5k itb):

#3 (probably my least favorite but still don't mind it, 78.4k itb):

I think the team with Moore is the most balanced but Moore is also the least inspiring of all the premo picks involved.

McKercher @ M5 seems too light in midfield imo

Yeah 2 here as well, more fire power in the middle.

Like the Steele pick, big leg up if fires.

Take 3 (?)

Plan is to turn Taranto into Walsh after Walsh's bye, unless Taranto is putting up mammoth scores. Daicosless side is controversial but I think I can just wait til his bye, might regret it though. Also skipping out on Fyfe is the other controversial part.

Edit: also can prolly scrape together the cash for Daicos off rookies when we know which ones are good
