Growing up one of the first things Mum taught me about successful Carlton was how much they loved one another as a teammate.

We haven't had that for a very long time and it was clear as crystal.

How many times did we criticise the other 21 players on the ground for allowing the opposition to murder Cripps? Murphy? Simpson?

How many times was a player hit behind play and instead of demonstrating with the player they'd allow it to happen without receipt?

How many times did a leader lambast a younger teammate for not doing the right thing but in such a way as to shatter that teammates confidence and not pick him up?

The love is back.

This team - and I mean TEAM - backs one another up to the hilt.

When a teammate ****s up a teammate or two always offers a high five or a quick acknowledgement of "you'll do better next time."

Instead of seeing the opposition lay into a Carlton player - regardless of player - you're seeing Carlton players back one another up every time and it's making the opposition reconsider whether it's worth it.

They celebrate each other's successes. They know when their teammate's have had a breakthrough moment or had an outstanding influence on a contest even if it doesn't get a stat, especially if it doesn't get a stat

This team puts the group ahead of the individusl almost every time. And when they don't they quickly make one another accountable. And that player inevitably owns it.

The most important ingredient for short and long term team success is back. This team is finally a team.

Crippa with 41 touches and can't get 3 BOG.
When the last time a Carlton player got over 40 touches and didn't get 3 votes.... or even 1 vote....

DIESEL
I like the point you are making, so I am not arguing against it. But Ronny Lerner in the HUN gives Cripps 3 votes for best on ground (I had to blink a few times to make sure I was reading it correctly).

The ultimate""Carlton had so many winners all over the park that I just checked the stats sheet."

What a game for you to attend Wick!

Hope you had a fabulous experience.😁🥂
It was amazing. Thanks. Seeing the partner get into the game and cheer every goal hasn't happened before. As she told you "I support it for him."

Hope you're having an amazing trip.

Ha! She's been Baggered💙
Must have been a great vibe at the ground eh? Such a decisive win and foot to the throat of a pretty smug enemy.
😁

Forget the individual plaudits, that was a complete team performance with every player performing their roles. The stars don't get to perform like they did without the other guys pulling their weight.

There's going to be some hot competition for a place in this team. Cerra to come straight back in when ready, the rest are going to have to earn a recall. Great position to be in.

We are the real deal and have been for a while, we are finally back in a position that we should be on-field and off-field.

Incredible win, we absolutely dominated them in every metric, there are many players that deserve a mention that dominated or played their role to profection, the King is just scrapping the surface of his potential he’s a bloody gun, the leaders of the side all contributed sensationally tonight, the youngsters all played a key role tonight they are developing beautifully, besides us dominating all the key areas of the game it was our pressure, positioning and setups that i was absolutely thrilled with tonight, complete turn around from our first game of the year…
They’ve have been a great team for far too long, but i am sick of them and their f*****g whingeing coach, to dominate them last night in that manner was the realization that we are a serious contender this year, feeling has been there as the year has progressed but it’s these types of wins that really back up your gut feeling that there’s something potentially special brewing this year if all goes according to plan 👍
Go the baggers 🤟

One important element in a premiership side is role players. Guys who can come into a side and plug holes you previously had.

In 1995, Matt Clape and Glenn Manton were great examples. At that early stage of his career, Scott Camporeale was probably one as well. When we had injuries, Tony Lynn was another one.

I’m seeing role players in this team. Guys who just get in and get the job done. Cincotta is the obvious one. But I reckon that was Fantasia’s best game for us too. He ran hard, got the ball on the overlap, and created space.

What our bottom 6 players are achieving is really important. It will carry us a long way.

It was never in doubt although i didn't expect it to be that easy. Cheers to Vossy and the players for making this baggers birthday a very happy one. We're going to give the Tigers a serious belting next week as well.
