Amazing how he has been touted by some as one of the best defenders of all time but cannot get involved much unless he can play the loose man or intercepting role without any responsibility for a direct opponent !
What's even more amazing is that the competition let him do it year in, year out.

Gotta agree. Not his biggest fan but he was kinda humble in defeat, giving g us high praise

I’ve seen this comment a few times and maybe I’m cynical or maybe his track record proves this point but all I heard from him was deflection!!!

Fancy putting sdk in the ruck against TDK, what a foolish, arrogant move.

He had to try something because Rhys is a woeful ruck but to put SDK in at the opening bounce just gave TDK every motivation to turn in an absolute monster game!

Taking sdk out of the backline, weakening a strength of theirs and putting him in middle, weakening that area of the ground as well was shocking coaching and I do not believe a thing Scott said about helping sdk “elevate his game to the next level”. It was just cocky arrogance to think he could compete with TDK.

tldr;

Scott was only heaping praise on us to mask his terrible coaching strategy!

Geez it felt so good to absolutely savage that team and expose them as very sub par!!!

Hopefully we have broken them and they some years in the wilderness!!!!!

Wow. Best team performance in like forever.

Cant get over Elijah’s foot skills. Absolutely sublime.

Elijah will go down as one of the best value recruits of all time. Paid absolute peanuts for a 10 year plus gloriously skilled player with a bit of swagger who can play multiple roles and could be an out and out gun genuine midfielder.

Thug Dangerfield was trying to assert his physicality by dumping Walsh into the ground at the start... got stuck into Harry too... cop that 10 goal belting you flog

Reckon Walsh saved him from a 5 week holiday by arching his back as he was being pinned and slammed to the ground. Incredibly dangerous tackle

Was their an explanation as to why geelongs goal after the siren in q2 was allowed to stand? Umpire called play on but never heard why it wasn't ruled out.

Did he call play on or was that just BT being a nuffy?

Our last quarters have been sublime, Russell copped a lot of criticism working them hard and getting injuries at the start of season, but our fitness edge has been a weapon. We were toying with Geelong during the last quarter.

We may not be the fastest but we are hard, tough and play four quarters.
Russell needs to be applauded for turning us into a real contender.

Well, sure am glad that the umpire's howler of a call on Cameron's play on goal wasn't a factor.

Umpire needs to take a good hard look at himself after that ridiculous call.
they should reduce their score. the game ends as soon as the ump signals play on - given the siren has sounded.

Short of a weird free kick, surely he can't then say the goal stands?

Vomit-worthy.

Dangerfield was so lucky Sam got up or he'd be looking at a very long rest. That was about as dangerous as it gets. He collapsed his full weight through him and pinned both arms. Cowan could have done the same to Danger 15 min later but exercised care for his opponent... sadly.
it looked very 'deliberate' on the replays....

like he was actually trying to hurt him.

Not sure play on was called, need to also ask how a guy who marks right on the 50m line gets dragged back to 47m to take the set shot.

Cameron would of kicked the goal either way but just bewildering!

Oh no, no, you've got it all wrong.
According to all the armchair flogs on Facebook Walsh deliberately slammed his head into the ground.
Apparently it was so soft that Walsh should get 3 weeks for staging!

Just imagine, you're running at full speed, you weigh 80 kgs. The opponent, also running at full speed, weighs 90 kgs.
The tackle pins both your arms, rendering you totally defenceless.
The tackle propels you forward, creating even more momentum.

Now, I'm not a physicist buy I'd say that under all those forces the last thing you'd be hoping to do is to have your head hit the ground because the chances of damage to the spinal chord would be extremely high.

Alas, we all know that the little pet lamb will get off because he went to church one day and also gives to charity.

Why does Cincotta move like Dane swan. Doesn't go to ground. One touch hands. Wtffffff. That was an unbelievably good game from him.
