17kicks, 4 handballs, 4 marks, 6 CP's, 76%DE looks good to me. Oh, 7 clangers! The role seems there, but.....

His score was only marginally worse than a couple of my P.O.D. keepers. Still with some attractive and cheaper players on the bubble, plus long term injuries, there is a certain attraction in trading.
He will probably come out next week and do a 120.

He was incredibly frustrating to watch. He just kept kicking to gws guys.
He's gone for me. He opens up some great trade ins for me over the next 2 weeks.
He did this all the time at Carlton, got the ball a lot but lots of clangers. Thought it might change being in a team where he becomes more senior, more responsible, but I admit I got sucked in by his practice game score and that bloke on youtube pumping him up without thinking it through totally. If he can sort out inconsistency he could be worthwhile but its a risky proposition when there are others performing much better, some at a lower price.

Over the next 2 weeks I'm using Fisher cash and magic beans to turn Fisher and 3 rookies into Massimo, billings and Powell/Fyfe.
Holding Fisher is not an option when I get 3 midpricers for the price of one.
Not bad when I started this week's trades with 14k lol

My foward line will be
Jackson - Fyfe - Heeney - Jordan - Hogan - Sexton - Reid - Wilson
I really cant see a spot for Billings in my foward line and we have better options in the midfield

Plus his always injured and knowing my luck he will again if i get him
Notice you really like Powell

* Is it worth doing Clarke to windsor this week or just go carrol next week
im torn

Anyone know how much T.Berry price would increase if he scores 60 the next 2 games?

Not sure if better off going with Cadman plus the extra coin?

I think I’m holding. The likes of Berry, Billings, etc feels like fools gold.

Guys like Fisher and Martin could easily bounce back. Martin in particular just had an uncharacteristic stinker - early clangers killed him. On another day with 25 touches he scores 100.

Reassess next week. Gibcus obviously needs to go but would like another look at Mass.

Might trade Fisher in, as he is bound to go large after everyone is trading him out

To me billings is the worlds first hff seagull. They look for him for his kicking skills. Real potential for scoring in the role. His injury history is a risk but for pretty much rookie price and scoring hundreds I think he's worth a trade.
I see a bunch of 200-300k guys in the Powell, Fyfe, billings Jordan mould scoring well. Tbh I think Powell is the only one who might be a keeper. First mid rotation no massive injury history no mids to come back and replace him like Jordan.
I'm skipping Windsor myself I already have Carroll but I think I have too many high priced rookies already.

I started N. Martin & Z. Fisher as speculative picks based on the pre-season trends. Yes, I should give them another week to assess but as others have said, trading these guys out now opens everything up, starts a war chest and brings in some cash cows. Currently planning this:

Round 2
N. Martin > J. Billings
Z. Fisher > M. D'Ambrosio
J. Gibcus > T. Berry
$442,900 Remaining Salary

Round 3
C. Lazzaro > C. McKercher
S. Campbell > O. Dempsey
Z. Reid > J. Sharp
$396,700 Remaining Salary

Too much cash ITB, that's another premo

Billings will love playing more games at the G.

Wide open spaces compared to when he was playing at Marvel with the Saints.

And you could see yesterday that Melbourne wanted to get the ball into Billing's hands as much as possible going forward.

Not me mate.
What I will say is don't let the cash you get from downgrading him make you waste a boost there really valuable.
There’s no chance I’m using more than one trade this week, if any. Posting ridiculous trade hypotheticals is all theatrics on my part.

Fisher to Billings would be the only one I’d maybe consider.

That’d give me $200k for corrections next week.

nah , they talking you into billings as a keeper in round 1

With Fisher its 'funny' how i witnessed my views on him change....

Went from thinking "he is a classic trap, doesnt have the skills to play a significant role"...then he got injured

Then he gets the role conducive to high scoring and i still think "i wont be enticed" ...then i look at that pre season score and i change my mind

Now he scores shit in round 1 and i think "I knew he was a trap, should've kept my original opinion" ... now everyone is trading and i think "maybe ill hold another round as he could become a POD."

This really just demonstrates a very 'unhealthy' thinking pattern. I predominantly thought he was a trap but then fell for the trap, and now i want to believe he isn't a trap because everyone else thinks that he is AND he has essentially demonstrated that he really is a trap.

So that is my off, on, off, on again relationship with Fisher. I will probably hold another week out of defiance because i already made the move i swore i wouldnt make by starting him and now im too ****en proud to admit that i ****ed up by going against my gut so now that my gut says i should trade, im going against it again.

...if that makes any sense

Could then go for this? It’s almost like it’s meant to be with my proposed Round 3 trades as well, although Campbell will get a little price rise.

Round 2
N. Martin > C. Serong
Z. Fisher > J. Billings
J. Gibcus > T. Berry
$46,200 Remaining Salary

Round 3
C. Lazzaro > C. McKercher
S. Campbell > O. Dempsey
Z. Reid > J. Sharp
$0 Remaining Salary

My trade plans a few pages back will be the craziest in this thread guaranteed.
I'm going the royal reverse roughy and I'm planning for it before I start.

Much better but those 2 boosts could upgrade 6 rookies to 2 SPS in upgrade season
