Anyone else thinking about Jordon > Max King? King with a -17 BE at 3k less. Game against Richmond this week which he could dominate. Giants tough after that but you never know.

Never in my wildest dreams did I think I could potentially have this forward line

Sure makes a change from the cookie cutter forward line we had last year. I don't mind the M King pick, but im avoiding him on general KPF principle.

Grundy > Conway is a potential option prior to round 5 to allow something like D.Wilson or Mannagh to Hollands with Jackson swinging to r2.

By round 7 I need a plan to fix my forwardline though. The cash from Conway and some maxed out mid rookies or Zac Williams/Howes in defence can be cashed in for a much needed injection of guns into my forwardline. Fisher at f3 and 3 rookies will not cut it by the time it's round 7 and back to 22 on the park

Pretty happy with the team so far. Looks like I would only have to do Coffield to Darcy, swinging Daicos into def again.

Potential to trade out Billings (depends if he's named, most likely trading out the spud) to bringing in a rookie that's in the bubble to fund T. Green before he's too far gone.

Speaking of rookies, what is J. Drapers JS like at Freo?

This never happens I got my dream trades with 3k to spare.
Rankine to Jackson
Reid to Darcy.
Leaving me this

Next week
Grundy to Conway after Grundy WC game.
Probably Howes to Stewart.
I too would like to trade out Rankine and Reid.

I have neither Heeney nor Jackson. Both seem good. But Isaac has a bye soon. Are there any other considerations I should take into account?

Only problem is that it just leaves me with 110k for my second player. But I'm assuming that'll be one of Sellers or Maley. Surely the only JS risk would be that one gets replaced by the other?

One of Sexton, Cadman or Darcy would slide into my F6.

Do I even need to do anything this week?
Rookies still probably have some mooing left

$147.8k ITB

Wouldn't mind Greene but I feel like I can wait for a down week.

The following also interests me but 🤷
Wines>Steele
Fisher>McKay (cant afford Jackson)

With Jackson as cover sure.
At least for the couple of bye rounds
Seems odd. Wouldn’t you cull a forward rookie via DPP instead? Grundy 4th highest averaging Ruck.

Both Heeney and Jackson present risks.
Jackson with Darcy returning.
Heeney with his injury history + the chance he moves forward.
Jackson plays the extra game and also give ruck cover round 5 and 6.
Jackson for me just

Can either be conservative and do Billings & Jordon to Flanders & Darcy, or be more aggressive and do Dawson (kent), Billings & Jordon to Green, Powell and Darcy (freeing up ~$100k for next week)

Second would leave me with this:

Using a boost to trade an uninjured premo goes against all my rules, but there's a few reasons why it could be reasonable:
  • Dawson hasn't scored 120+ in the nine games he's played in the middle with Crouch now. Unless Adelaide drops Crouch or Laird, or moves Laird out of the middle, there's a definite ceiling on him, even if his DE% lifts.
  • Green should just about be M1 this year, he's looking incredible. Even if Dawson returns to form, I consider this to be a noticeable upgrade. I also don't want Green being an anti-POD – nightmare fuel. Also opens up getting Dawson for cheaper later if things improve, so I don't need to withstand more of his cash leaking.
  • I actually trust Powell to keep this level of scoring up more than I trust Flanders due to his CBA%. 86% so far this year, and if those numbers hold (no reason they shouldn't) he should be good for at least a mid-90s average which certainly puts him in keeper F6 territory.

Food for thought, anyway.

🤣 Watched the Freo game in full the other night. He looked terrific and has a good role. Worth a crack. Decent price and leaves me enough cash to fix Fisher next week. BE of 47 on Fisher so he can have another week.

My biggest concern is ordinary rookies at F5/F6 and no way to even loop, and with no decent replacements on to horizon.
For the record, Bramble's who I got in last week instead of Clark. Marginally more profitable decision. Despite questionable past scoring stats, I don't think you can go wrong with either.

Some forward rookie does not get me Stewart over howes and also skip howes and Grundys bye.
This all depends on how Conway goes next week but historically it's hard for a first ruck to average below 80.
An 80 average rookie who will be a pod through those best 18 rounds is awesome.

Zero reason for Longmire to move Heeney out of the middle. He will just about win the brownlow and be the number one scorer in SC if he stays put.

imo of course :moustache:
