Trades 2024 Round 6 Trades

I'm outside the Top 10K atm, so I'm just going to focus on cash gen and getting rid of my dead rookies this week. So far I'm thinking:

McKercher & Clark have got to go for obvious reasons, and I'm thinking of using a boost for Comben assuming he can generate $150k as a bridge to Heeney later in the season, but I might just settle on just the 2 trades instead.

Next week I'm aiming for Walsh and maybe another fallen Premo, need to get these rookies off the field asap.

Want Heeney this week and Walsh next and so have mapped out a plan hopefully involving only 5 trades/1 boost.

This week:

Fisher/Carroll/Kerch to Heeney/Graham/[Garcia] (pending selection)

Next week:

Sharp/Cadman to Walsh/[Biggie or McAuliffe]

As long as no rookies being sub or dying (looking at you McKercher) it should work.

If Jackson is F6 avg around 90 like he avg last year with Shrek, then you will be able to get him sub 500k. Spent a most of the time while Shrek was playing last year priced between 450-500k.

Ideally you traded him last week when he was almost 600k (I would have if Shrek was named), but still at 560k, its easily worth the trade to bring in someone in midfield who will avg 30 points more than him (for me it's Steele). If you need him, you can trade him in later for 100k cheaper. If I have on field forward rookies like Reid, Dempsey and Darcy avg between 75-80, I don't care about leaking 10-15 points to a Jackson, vs leaking 40-50 points from on field rookies to keepers in the mids or backs.
I didn’t start him as I could only afford Heeney and Flanders…

Looking forward to bringing Jackson in as a straight swap for Meek in a couple of weeks.

Absolutely terrified to trade Dawson this week.. I've kept for so long and he's surely going to turn his form around at some point. I'm sure it will be the week I trade.. but I am doing it.

Dawson to Heeney.

Sorry to everyone in advance :pensive:

I need to sort Coffield and Sexton out in the next couple of weeks.

Other than that I’m pretty happy with this.
That's a strong team

LOL - we are polar opposite.
You've got a stack midfield and your rucks is pretty strong - I have topped up on the other lines.
It will be interesting to see where we both end up

How's everyones teams looking.
I'm at 14 premo including powell
4 midpricers mass, Williams, meek and comben.
4 rookies on field. Chloe, Roberts, sharp and Darcy.

I'm pretty happy with my team I've got like 5 weeks trades planned out lol
When best 22 & no byes.
14 with Powell
3 mid priced. Mass, Williams, Comben
4 rooks on field. Closehy, Roberts, Reid & Darcy.

Thanks mate!

The plan is to send Daicos and Martin back next week, swap Meek for a fallen premo mid in a couple, and be out of trades by round 18.

27 and 2 boosts left. LOL.

Hi guys this is my team after trades this week
Carroll > Walsh
McKercher > Graham

Unsure on what I should do next week. I feel I am gonna try and get Serong/Butters/Rozee next. 3 boosts left. Anyone have any ideas?

Dawson is a problem yes, but I think he will come good, otherwise hopefully a luxury trade later on

I mean, at this point (Rank 15k) my overall is scuffed anyways and at this point im just focusing on cash league. So I agree with this approach in fixing cash gen so you have more oppurtunity to grab those uber mids and breeze home at the back end of the year. With that cash, can easily do 1 up and 1 down provided rookie down opens up.

Think I might use my second boost to go:
Mass > Graham
Mckercher > Comben
Howes > Walsh via moving Naicos back to defence.

Leaves me with 28 Trades and 30k in the bank.

Reid, Howes, Carroll -> Clohesy, Graham, Comben (3 boost left after this).

Finally able to trade Reid out the bastard.

Still happy with more cash gen, $200k ITB and currently ranked in top 3k.

Mass gets North this week and his old club next week. Was playing in defence last week hence the 94 opposed to wing previous week/s. Ballsy trading him imo.

Thanks for the feedback, I also thought his Breakeven was higher than it is. Maybe not gonna happen, might just wait until Teams are announced, might wait a week on Walsh as his price wont change this week will it? Would like to see that he's really back.
Could just stick with Coffield & McKerch out for Graham & Comben and have some cash banked.

Keep Mass mate.

Has a decent role and may get DPP?

I have the choice of going McKercher to Comben as my third trade as well.
Still mulling that one over.

would want to sit on mass for one more week. if he doesnt score well then trade him out

howes BE has reset so still more money to make

if your trade in target is walsh you could go mckercher-comben and just wait a week for the rest of the trades
