I’ve done this most years tbh. As was said earlier, things could be a little lean and seem like a struggle for a few weeks in the middle, but you will come home with a very wet sail. If you’re playing for leagues and have wins in the bank it’s a pretty sound strategy because you’ll be hard to beat at the pointy end.

I don't care about leagues, I do get annoyed about struggling the last few weeks, hadn't really considered it this way, but I'll see how I go doing this-hopefully will have a bit more interest in last few weeks.

Graham out has forced me to change my planned Rayner to Oliver trade to Yeo to Ryan, still planning on a Cadman to Jones trade.

Roberts goes back to cover for Graham and now Rayner gets another start in midfield, hopefully the kent can score more than 44.

Not the worst outcome, I wanted to get Ryan anyway and it will give me another look at Oliver to see if he is the real deal again.

if you don't take Ryan now then you will be waiting a while until he is affordable - likely go up 35-60k over the next 2 weeks - he will need to drop sub-tons before price starts dropping. Can see him still be quite a high price coming off his bye

does have a few top team matchup over the next 4

I don't think he's worth chasing unless your teams finished. You get a lot more value turning a 60 pt a game rook into a 105 premo than turning a 110 averaging premo into a 130 av premo.

yep which is why its just a consideration - but my upgrade without using Yeo is probably a forward and they're only 20 above the rookies

Soligo.... Competing for mid points with Crouch/Laird and Dawson seems like an uphill battle long term. If any of them got an LTI would be a much more attractive option.

yep I did it, locking in a super premo and he aint getting any cheaper anytime soon. plays an absolute seagull accumulator role watching him get it on a string last week almost doubled the shitness of richmond feel

Considering a Roberts, Powell -> McKercher, Moore trade ($30k ITB).

Not touching Ryan as I don't think I can justify it at the price. Will just have to wear the scores like Petracca last year and hope Jordon puts the screws on him.

Other options are:

Roberts, Powell -> Martin, Jones
Roberts, Powell -> Dale, Kerch
Roberts, Biggie -> Kerch, Jones

I mean, if I do Roberts and Powell, I can get anyone, so ultimately it's SP + Jones or Value premo and Kerch.
