I've heard the reasons not to rookie Hipwell, but he keeps performing every bloody week.
23 next year - same age as Hall.

Is it too much having 2 x 23 year old VFL footballers to develop on AFL lists?

Neither look like absolute guns at the level.

One way to look at it.
If they were on the list now would you re sign them?

Thought Hotton and Keeler were both good today while not being amazing.

Garcia on the other hand was definitely amazing. Hopefully he gets a run in the guts for the Saints soon.

I thought Allison’s second half was terrific tbh, apart from the shanked snap. He leads up well, has beautiful disposal by hand and foot and usually makes the correct decisions. Has got good hands for a grab too.

Garcia with the most disposals, equal most goals and most tackles.

GOAT-cia to the senior side for a decent while please Ross.
What more does he have to do?
Two full games in the seniors to finish the season.
Come on, Rossy….

Hugo looking like an inspired piece of drafting at this stage. Works hard but also has that bit of polish that sets him apart at VFL level. Don't expect he sees much of TBBO in 2025.
Amazing he only has one year on O'Sullivan and Smith.

It was nice to see Sandi runaway with a win and to keep their finals chances alive. It was also nice to see Peckett given a run on the ball who did some nice things. Hofmann didnt look out of place out there either. Im still well out on Cole he just doesnt have any stand out features, he is not overly quick, he cant take a contested mark and his kicking is sceptical.

If you ever wanted to see the benefit in having intercept makers down back you dont have to look any further than Jacob Blight from Richmond who marked everything that went near him in defence. Mind you the first half was spent on Allison who has no ability to hold his ground. But even when up against Jack Hayes he was still marking the ball.

Ill go through the list from best to quiter games.

Garcia was a clear BOG his willingness to get to contests and pressure the opposition is elite as was his goal kicking
Campbell he just keeps on giving the guy is a collosus.
Ollie Hotton is starting to find his feet through the midfield at this level.
Keeler looks so much free-er when his is used as a chop out ruckman, key forward. He is laconic but does some special things.
Hastie just needs to build an AFL body he has the tools otherwise.
Allison kept presenting, kicked some nice goals and won plenty of the ball, but was slaughtered in the air by Blight when Sandi were dominating.
Max Hall played a serviceable game, it will be nice to see when he gets a run onball.
Bonner does the same thing as he does in the AFL breezing past for handball receives, but his defensive efforts are sub standard IMO.
Shoenmaker similiar to Bonner but his kicking is Elite, however for his size Shoey is a poor over head mark.
Hayes 2 goals serviceable in his return game. There is no doubt he has it but its whether the club are prepared to give him another year.
OConnell got time on a wing is learning the game but definitely has a go.
Cordy same as expected - nothing outstanding.

Peckett showed he is a smart player, clean at ground level, positions himself well in link up plays and in marking duels.
Hofmann I didnt notice as much but he ended up with 15 disposals which was a good debut at the level.
Cole is OK, I just have more questions than answers and am hoping the club can find better.

Cole played on a 20yo kid Archer May 195cm who is not listed and took some nice marks, he is mobile and kicked 3 goals and showed enough to warrant interest from AFL clubs.

Hipwell finally looks fit after he was carrying a heap of weight throughout the year and looked stodgy. Today he was back to his old self and showed enough that he may still be worth a look. The other Zebs show glimpses Blamires, Hall-Kahn, Watson and Lowe but simply dont impact games enough.

NOTE: Richmond VFL have played 65 players through the VFL this year with a huge AFL injury list and they still sit well above Sandringham on the ladder. How can they keep finding players like Blight, Johnson and May from state leagues and Sandringham offer up zip.
