I think the first 3 were the travelling emergencies and Collard probably went home for the weekend

"for the weekend"
Pretty sure we did something similar for Nasiah in his early days and he went from being potentially a “go home after one year” player to potentially a 12 year 250 game player.

These things are very important and I have no problem with them taking Collard over for a family visit.

And to watch his new team beat his old Next Gen mob 😊

What’s the go with Keels? Is he injured?
Would really love to see us start introducing games into Heath, Keels, Ari and Hall.
Hugo to come back in at some stage and Hastie and Poo have had a taste and can probably wait until next year now or wait for an injury.
I think there’s a lot to play out selection wise before the season is up.
Max Heath has been the most pleasing one for me. I think our patience with him will pay off.

Never been as confident as I am that Hugo will be a player for us - just needs another pre season & then RTB needs to give him a role and pump games into him next year - will be a steal at #50!

Hadn't even heard of him before the draft but the footage they put up after we drafted him looked like a mini Bont. Has real BDE and an assertive game style. I'm confident that he'll make it as a player.

Not sure Franggers have a dominant ruck but the most pleasing thing was that Heath managed to actually rack up hit outs that were on his terms. Not just getting a finger on the ball. He might actually make it.
Please, please, please….

Next step is to start taking grabs around the ground.

I have to admit my opinions on Max Heath have been all over the place this year. When he was first drafted and for his first season I was excited by his potential, but his start to this season lead me to prematurely write him off. Early in this season he looked no where near it. He is still growing into his body but his last few weeks he has shown the improvement we were all hoping for. He is reportedly a poor runner but none of that shows during games he just wills himself from contest to contest. No one could ever doubt his effort the kid gives 110% at everything and really plays for his team mates.

His rucking has began to improve significantly and he plays with a real big man presence. He gets his hands to a lot of contested marks and as he gets stronger and grows more into his body he looks like he will start clunking a lot more marks. Given that he has played forward a lot because of Campbell rucking, Moose is also a decent tall forward when down there.

So I have done a complete back flip and again believe Moose is worth continuing to develop. Thankfully he is again looking like he will eventually become a very good player, getting a run at the No 1 ruck role has been a blessing for him.

Crikey the List Management team are going to have a tough time this season and there is going to be anumber of very stiff players who will be moved on to make room for the list turnover.

I’d bring Sharman in and play him in the Membrey role and leave him there.

One of the most natural footballers on our list. Play him where the game demands him to play, front half when we’re trying to win it, back half when we’re trying to save it.
Not sure, but Tim seems to have lost his spring and played behind a bit too much yesterday

So Crouch in next week? Sounds like he was BOG but also looked gassed in the 4th?
He’d still be worth playing. If he blows up after three quarters sub him out. It would still be worth it to add him to Dow and Clark, who have come in recently. We need as many of our best midfielders in as possible.

Sharman has this knack of lifting late in games. Unsure of him at the top level but he stands up in the big moments, forward and back.

Hopefully Hotton isn’t out for too long. Did Campbell, Jones, Paton and Collard all travel to Perth or are there injury concerns?
Sharman will kick the winning goal in the 2027 AFL GF.

A win like that is a fantastic tonic for our young guys. Seemed to be a lot of spirit towards the end of the game with Frankston. Pou’s reaction said a lot at the final siren. Unrestrained joy.

There was the congratulating each other on the one percenters. Good team connection. All augers well for the future.

Of course, this is my opinion only re Heath.

Preseason gor 2023, Owens would constantly outruck Heath in match sim, Heath was always last in time trials and 400's by 80 metres and was constantly gassed.
Match sim knew where to run to and would take some good contested marks.

This preseason was not much better with his tank, but his rucking was much improved and he was still clunking marks.

However since the season started, I have been able to see his improvement every time I go to training. There is a marked improvement in his tank and his ruck play. I am sure the development is due to the games he is getting under his belt.
Watched the last qtr and he was dominant in the ruck. No Campbell was helpfull, however I see Campbell working with him at training all the time.
What is he? 22? Reckon he will be one that takes to 25 before he hits his best
Worth persisting with.
