The one thing that makes me think this isn't Daniel's last race, is that I would have expected Red Bull to announce it before hand and at least have some sort of farewell. Would be particularly cruel on the guy as popular as Daniel to just announce he's not seeing the next race after this one is complete.

So this makes me think either
1. Liam will be announced for 2025 taking Daniels seat after Singapore, but Daniel given the rest of the season (most likely imo).
2. Liam into the RB, Daniel replacing Perez for 7 races (unlikely).

So after all this kerfuffle about drivers swearing, Sky starts off the weekend with Ted dropping the f-bomb live on telly before P1 even starts
Yep. That was a shocker.

SkyF1UK have this almost biblical aversion to swearing and their pit commentator throws out the f-bomb across their global coverage.

Most unlike Ted and Sky it must be said.

Maybe the pressure of comments about the bias of his commentary is starting to bite.

For those of us who only tune in at 11pm on Saturday night, what was the context here? Was a hot mic or a slip of the tongue?

Was commenting on the Ferrari front wing set up from the pits and was struggling with his words.

"fking hell sorry lets try that again" is what was broadcast as that cross ended. The feed switching to an unprepared Lazenby saying 'perhaps we'll come back to that' made it all worthwhile.

Insane when you think about the fact that they had literally MISSLE attacks occurring within 10km of the track in Saudia Arabia and the FIA didn't give a shit about the drivers safety, but say a swear.......

How Dare You Greta GIF

I’m sorry, but Hamilton trying to turn the F1 bosses comments into something to do with racism is an utter joke. He claims that “rap music” is done mainly black (true), so therefore the Presidents comment that “ we’re motor racing, not rap music” is racist…

It’s just too easy to label someone as racist and get away with it regardless of the truth.

Utter garbage. Not to mention how reasonable it is to think of rap music when thinking of a common example of the most prolific swearing in mainstream culture.

(for the record I love the drivers passion and swearing, if nothing else than winding up the stuffy Poms on commentary)

It wasn’t live. A pre record that had been abandoned mid performance. The production team f’d up by broadcasting the wrong tape.
And I’ve got to say, is it a British thing that they profusely apologise after any swear word? Minor or major.
Bugs me.

Didn’t he spend half of P1 in the garage because someone stripped his wheel nut or something along those lines? How unfortunate McLaren…..

Given they had to chisel and beat it with a hammer, not chipped, that wheel was on the hub good and proper that they thought for a moment the hub was screwed also. There was no rotation in the left rear at all.

Considering studies have said that rap music is the most sweary genre

In the ever critical last practice session before quali on a track where it's hard to overtake, Ferrari just blinked. Changing strategy on new softs that left Leclerc nowhere and with f-all time to adjust.

And Red Bulls nowhere as well.

Norris way ahead on pace compared to everyone else. Only question is can Oscar join him on the front row later tonight now that he's had a good chance to get a feel for the track.

Jamie Chadwick is good on the telecast. Think she offers a bit more of a relevant perspective than Naomi Schiff, and of course offers more than Danica Patrick.
Agree. She's seriously impressive. Not just in her understanding of the sport but the way she listens to what the others are saying and adds value to the discussion. She obviously does her homework and I really hope we see more of her analysis.

Schiff's last few appearances have been too much fluff with zero substance and I hope she moves on. Danica's understanding of F1 is pretty limited although her guidance for those looking to find the lizard people hide outs is a niche talent that probably is better suited to the US audience.
