Jeez imagine we are now able to throw tarryns 750 around.

Gives us great opportunity to plug a hole at free agency whilst topping up the young fellas too.

Cash cowboys are back
Throw big coin at JUH dogs won’t be able to come anywhere near our best offer

Then for free agents a small forward like Stengle or Ainsworth

Dynasty

You’re bang on. Someone who can get around the ground and take a big mark.
Time to throw the $$$$ at JUH ....If Darcy gets moved up the order then he may want to find another home and l'm sure we could accomodate a trade with the Doggies...

They would be asking for Wardlaw

We wont be outbidding Sydney so JUH is a moot point.

They will offer a shitload more $$$ than I would be happy to, will offer him the Buddy Franklin marketing position in the Sydney sporting landscape and they will have the draft capital to do it when Logan McDonald goes home the other way.

The only way Jamarra even looks our way is because someone from the club has established a great rapport with and sold one hell of a vision. Not impossible but extremely unlikely.

For immediate on-field, financial (on and "off" field), profile etc benefits we can't compete.

Yep, this.

He's OOC though. If we finish 13-17th, I would've thought our first rounder suffices?

Gets a bit trickier if we make finals, I admit.

Nah man, they're not letting him go for a draft pick.

Pick 1 KPF who has shown plenty and looks set to break out big style.

Swans will be paying a high pick and a player imo.

The only real chance was if we had a Collingwood 2022 style year where we rocketed from second last the previous year to deep into finals (highly unlikely with the youngest list in the comp).

Even then, we won't have the draft capital in that scenario to get a deal like that done if that does occur.

Double edged sword.

FA's more likely in that scenario than a young star we'd have to trade for.

With the TT money and the existing space if we wanted we could pay more than anyone

Also reckon JUH will want to stay in melbs

I said, I don't want to pay what Sydney are offering.

Sydney have a $12m x 10 year contract on the table with JUH.

Sure we can pay it, but it would be completely stupid with the amount of high end young talent we have amassed before knowing what we will have to pay to keep some of them.

The player is doing a fair bit of heavy lifting in that scenario.

From a trade capital perspective, we're odds on to have more to play with than the Swans.

If the Swans play finals, about the best they could do is offer two first rounders, say 2x pick ~12.

Our starting point would be our 2024 first rounder, which is probably a top 6 pick.

But yeah, the salary side of things might make all of this moot, let alone how attractive we look as a destination.

Swans can let one of their quality Charlie Horsewater mid types go knowing they've got the Academy churning out more every year.

I mean, we got Dylan Stephens out of them at a decent price largely because Gulden had boomed beyond their expectations.

I think we should calm down on JUH. He had a good finish to his season in 2023 but he's far from asking how much people are saying performance wise.

His set shot isn't exactly reliable and he'll need to nail his routine before asking 1+ million.
Yeah. Agree on the shots for goal.

Not surprised they've let him go, he's a bad egg.
