I would rather motlop if we could get himWe might have to sweeten it with Sheezle.
Here's what Hawthorn's best small forward is (allegedly) earning after switching teams.Time to be brave and fill critical positional shortcomings.
Get Owies.
4x700. We have more cap space that the Victorian Govt has in its big build budget.
Be brave like Hawthorn and nail your needs.
Is worth our 2nd rounder which will be mid 20s. Get a 3rd rounder back if we can.
If we are prepared to use a round 1 pick on a long term project player like Goad then Owies is a no brainer.

Sheezel + f1 - CarltankWe might have to sweeten it with Sheezle.
I thought the AFL average was around 450K and was set to go up.Here's what Hawthorn's best small forward is (allegedly) earning after switching teams.
He's a better player than the Ow-zone.

Averages, medians, average salaries over multiple years, front ending, backending, it’s all a rort.I thought the AFL average was around 450K and was set to go up.
North should have offered him a decent contract then. Here's what Hawthorn's best small forward is (allegedly) earning after switching teams.

I think it was Kingy who said on Fox Footy the other night he could be on $500k a season now - but who honestly knows?..I thought the AFL average was around 450K and was set to go up.
FFS not even finished their 1st seasons.Geez, we might give Dawson and Hardeman at least until their rookie contracts expire before we cut them?

l cant see Pendlebury playing a full season in 2025 or 2026 because injuries will deprive him of doing it . He's already missed 4 games this seaon so far, so it will depend on the Pies as to whether they are prepared to continue to play him at the expense of playing a younger player...and l cant see him playing in 2027..Play it again, Pendles: Pies champ to go on in 2025
Scott Pendlebury confirms he has a contract in place to play a 20th season next yearwww.afl.com.au
Likely that Boomer's record will be threatened in 2026
Nah we need to keep that 2nd rounder. That's probably our key forward pick and the better key one's will be gone by the 3rd round.Time to be brave and fill critical positional shortcomings.

I think Pendles will have his farewall next year, he'll close in on Tucky if they play finals but their midfield is quite thin and with a first pick in this years draft at pick 30ish, and McFly thinks they are in the window, will be interesting if they start playing McCrae, McInnes, Ed Allen, Demattia, Ryan, Jiath even big IIiro Smit.l cant see Pendlebury playing a full season in 2025 or 2026 because injuries will deprive him of doing it . Guys that can’t get a game shouldn’t be worth much when they’ve in the system for a few yearsCan anyone see us using our later picks for cheap acquisitions of an OOC small forward and KPF?
We currently have a third rounder (pick ~40), and two fourths (~58 and ~69).
If you threw in a future third too, it feels like that gets us close to Owies or Konstanty plus McInnes or Hayes or Matt Allison, for example?
Not match-winners, but decent incremental list upgrades in positions of need.
2nd round by all reports is only incrementally worse than the first round this year.Time to be brave and fill critical positional shortcomings.

Anyone who is anyone knows that Jack or Chol wouldn’t have improved our team (/s).North should have offered him a decent contract then.
But noooooooooooooo..
Same shit happened with chol, he'd have been a walk up 2nd key forward/ruck for us this year.
Anyone who is anyone knows that Jack or Chol wouldn’t have improved our team (/s).
Guaranteed they will try to get him there…..unless someone snaps him in two next year it will be the rolling 12month contract.Play it again, Pendles: Pies champ to go on in 2025

The impossible thing to weigh up with retroactive/hindsight list management opinions is what the players would be like at our club and in our system.
On face value, Ginnivan was a small forward without high end athleticism and who had attitude problems, while Chol was a laconic tall forward ruck who was often lamented for his inconsistency and lack of intensity.
Now both key cogs to Hawthorn’s forward half pressure game. If they come to North, they are no doubt upgrades at both small forward and key forward, but do they adapt the same way, apply the same intensity and effort, if not then they would have become part of the problem rather than the solution.
Don't make me tap the sign.Guaranteed they will keep try to get him there…..unless someone snaps him in two next year it will be the rolling 12month contract.
Geez l hate Brad……boomer could have easily played on
