Seems like pretty great news for us. West Coast aren't splitting pick 3, so we're suddenly Richmond's only option on getting an adequate return on Baker. They need our goodwill all of a sudden. If we're making a reasonable offer for Baker + Bolton, we look like the good guys.

It certainly makes things interesting, Oliver still wants out of Melbourne badly and Geelong want him. Does this open the door for Smith to go to Hawks (a team he was interested in) and Oliver to get to the Cats?

Hawks did just get Battle so maybe they are pivoting away from a second key back to Smith, who knows but not sure many saw this pick swap coming.

Baker would be a very good get for us and he seems the type to buy in fast. Not sure what the price would be but I am not worried in the slightest about how he initially chose West Coast if he ends up coming to Fremantle.
