I’d be inclined to think the same way re rucks and Teakle. The curveball comes if we actually decide to play one of Begg or Steene in a key position.

At this stage you’d think Bytel and one of Sofronidis or Eyre would be the favorites.

Begg is unlikely to be kept as a ruck. He doesn’t have the body for it. His best VFL game last season was against Richmond who were desperate to make it to Mad Monday unscathed. So I can see why we’re considering Teakle.

Eyre has got to be up there for consideration given he’s been in the system before, knows the game plan and can play at either end. If Sofrinidis isn’t chosen, I’d invite him to play VFL and if possible, recruit mid-season.

It would have all been done well before that. He knew his time was up at the Pies well before that. Probably knew mid season
Yes I think that Tay knew when Fly preferred him as the inside mid. Tay saw his future at Collingwood as a hff rotating a bit in the midfield without being the first choice candidate. With his age and injury profile he probably reckoned he was on borrowed time and there was no guarantees what his next contract would look like. The manager made inquires and Swans offered up a contract with more security and better football possibilities for him.

swap the leg press machine for the squat rack. be consistent with it and i guarantee your 'life' will change.
No no, I squat as well. Sometimes (but not much) also deadlift. Nothing.

Strength isn't my issue. I just have chicken legs.

Interesting. Thanks Jen.

Who was rucking out of interest? And if the answer isn’t Begg, where was he playing?

During the little match play it was begg v steene
Though did see begg down back a little but maybe that was as a ruck im not sure. It was difficult to tell with a small sample.

Not sure that a full time inside mid gig will be easier for Tay to nail at Sydney. - Warner, Gulden, Mills, Parker

Mills isn’t going to be playing much in 2024 after his Mad Monday WWE stunt but afterwards, he could push Adams out.

I like the look of Brynn Teakle.

Anyone know if he has any relation to Tess Teakle?

Isn’t Tess Teakle a close relative of yours? I heard you guys were almost inseparable.

I saw some signs of a potential ruckman in Steene this year. I didn't see a lot but I was impressed with a few things and thought that if he put on some size he could just maybe make the grade. It looks like he has put the size on so I'll be watching him with great interest in 2024.
I reckon he can make it.🤞
