I remember an early game he played at Geelong where he was clunking them well. All a confidence thingThey can be. But I remember those first few games in 2022 before he got injured, he can mark well when he has good purchase.
Kreuger may be one of these players that take a while to get to a consistent level of fitness, due to being physically immature in a sporting sense. He was. He did have a session with just running but otherwise he has been doing everything

Well we were all young once. His hands are so fumbly!
Like Cummins, Mitch Johnson and Brett Lee also spent years on the sidelines until they were about 25 and then became really durable.Kreuger may be one of these players that take a while to get to a consistent level of fitness, due to being physically immature in a sporting sense.
Eyre could be another.
Darcy Moore had a succession of soft tissue injuries when he was younger, but is pretty good now.
In a different sport, Pat Cummins had extended periods out injured when he was younger, but is now OK.
It may also be necessary for Freddy to modify his approach to playing footy.
Nathan Murphy's crazy/courageous approach to footy will probably need to be changed due to his concussion history, as another example.
That said, Murph's courage is one of the things that has made him such a good player.
It's about finding the right balance.
Mine improved but are shit again nowWell we were all young once.
Who would you prefer we talk about? Anthony Rocca? He’s been retained on the list which means the club sees value.I still can't believe people talk about Krueger.

We'll rotate players through that forward line to fill the hole without mcstay. They have time to work it out.
The next part of pre-season will be telling.
Neither Harrison (small forward) or Richards (?) are suitable to fill McStay's role. I'm not even sure what position Richards plays, he's the invisible man in the VFL & at training, lol.Interesting watching “ that’s good for footy “ show , Mitch and Markov said the best trainers / torching up matchplay have been Richards / Harrison / Johnson …. If 1 or 2 of these come through and command senior spot , think we are in great spot …

I'm more hopeful on AJ. Despite his age, he's one of our least physically developed players. This is the problem, I don’t think he’ll ever be a contested player. I don’t think he is suited as a target either. Not everyone is and that is fine…I think he will come in at times during the season but structurally I think I we need someone like Krueger.

People are writing off Krueger way too early.
Doesn’t help he writes himself off every time he gets on the park.

probably why we have some talls training for a spot.
You can only deal with the cards you are dealt, and who you have. You make it work.Yes, I'm sure VFL rookies will cover Moore and Murphy nicely.
PTSD from the last decade I suppose. This season was a rarity even though there were weeks without even having a healthy ruck.
Maynard's versatility has been a blessing when we've had to improvise & IQ's marking has really come along too.You can only deal with the cards you are dealt, and who you have. You make it work.
Injuries would just give opportunity to others.

As noted by several posters, there is no reason to believe that Krueger will be unable to get, and stay, fit over the next 5/6 years and give himself a chance of playing AFL football.AJ has shown he can contribute as a forward, needs to get more consistent and offer more in a contest.
Does that he is in.
Reef could be the one with the most potential.
Krueger yeah nah, unless we want him to run into Checkers and take him out for the year.
