A handful of RAT/ PCR as a favor? Cheap as chips.

It wasnt rat tests.

It was the actual pathology equipment to process pcrs.
and he sent more than one machine.

so, yes, it is a big deal.

He lied, saying it was fake, then Kremlin said he did.

Lies to cover his arse, gives vital equipment needed to a foreign dictator.

still calls said dictator post white house.

Thumbing his nose at DOJ and the Logan Act.

He needs to be charged with treason.

There's a certain amount of mental gymnastics in all of this.

If you understand your vote as a positive affirmation, and consider it the most meaningful statement you can make within the system, can you understand why some people might find it utterly impossible to 'affirm' what has occurred under Harris/Biden, and what will certainly worsen under Harris/Walz?

That Trump will be worse is certain. He's not getting my vote. Still, this fact doesn't make a gesture of support for genocide more palatable.
Unless you run as an independent, no candidate will 100% align with your political views. You vote for the candidates/parties that most align with you. In the Australian system with ranked choice this makes it a lot easier as you might find 2 parties or candidates that align 80% and 75% with you.

Unfortunately the US system gives you one of 3 choices. If neither of the first two options really align with you, you get to not vote at all. Which for some people might feel like taking a defient step in expressing discontent for both parties when in practice it says "I don't care what happenes to me or others" and usually leads to the worst of the 2 you didn't vote for, winning.

To make real political change in America without working in politics, you need to vote for independents where you can (provided they align with you) and vote for the major you align with most. If enough people do that, the losing major will need to adopt new policy which might align with you more.

Voting is the only signal that most people can give in a democracy. However you want to cut it, a vote for Harris is a clear signal of support for genocide, and likely a wider war with Iran.

A lot of people are simply having difficulty in getting around that fact.

To categorise this election as a 'straightforward choice' is to ignore the thousands of mutilated bodies which people would have to crawl over in order to vote for the Democrats.
Are you pretending that a vote for Trump is not a vote for genocide?
It will be ongoing genocide in Ukraine and the Middle East with absolutely no restrictions on what he is willing to do.
It will be genocide on migrants in the US. Anyone non white. Do those Nazi tones sound familiar:

He is a fascist, he is absolutely bonkers, he is absolutely willing to do whatever he can for the highest bidder.
The SCOTUS have given him immunity and he will use it.
He will break the free press.
He has taken Saudi money, he is friends with Putin and Orban.
Neither choice is absolutely perfect of course but there really is a clear choice here , whether you see that or not.
You will sure find out if he is elected though.

Not only am I not pretending that a vote for Trump isn't also a vote for Trump, I'm not advocating a vote for Trump at all.

Not voting for his opposition is actually a vote for Trump

No. Not voting for the other guys is a statement that they're both demonic, and that the depravity of one doesn't deserve support simply because it's a bit less than the depravity of the other.

Without wishing to buy into your ridiculous hyperbole too much, how is Harris "depraved"?

I didn't think I was capable of hyperbole these days. Kind of like 'hope', feels a bit beyond me.

Harris has given every indication that she supports and will continue to aid Israel's genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. It also seems clear that she's up for the jaunt in Lebanon and her naming of Iran as America's greatest threat suggests that she's on board with an American and Israeli/Netanyahu hope to expand the conflict with Tehran.

The status quo comprises layers of hell. The implications of expanding the conflict are rather dire.

Kamala stood up and told everyone a few months ago that the US would have the most lethal fighting force in history under her watch. Maybe that was hyperbole? Nevertheless, the combination of signs suggest that I should believe her.

I hope that final result in Florida gives the Republicans a scare. This is Florida (Trump World) today.

A cease-and-desist letter the Florida Department of Health sent to Florida television stations over a political ad that features a woman named Caroline who was diagnosed with brain cancer two years ago while pregnant with her second child. In the ad, the woman says Florida’s six-week abortion ban would have prevented her from receiving a life-saving abortion.

John Wilson, the general counsel for the state agency, says the claims made by the woman are “categorically false” and that the message constitutes a “sanitary nuisance” that could put women’s health and lives at risk if it continues to be broadcasted.

If the advertisement was not taken down within 24 hours, Wilson said TV stations could face criminal prosecution, and noted that “creating, keeping, or maintaining a nuisance injurious to health is a second-degree misdemeanor” under state law.

The ad is still running. So much for first amendment protecting free speech.

Again, totally disingenuous because on the Israel / Iran issues, Trump is no different and possibly worse. We all hate what is happening in the Middle East, but it's not something that differentiates the candidates.

So again, that issue doesn't "move the needle" so it just looks like people justifying hidden Trump support (I include those who liked your post).

The language from Trump is getting really hysterical and like most cults the followers repeat it. Demonic, depraved, sadistic, anything that can dehumanise the dreaded other.
Who are the war mongers?

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) responded to Iran’s launch of a missile on Israel and said the attack deserves an “overwhelming response” from the United States.

“This missile attack against Israel should be the breaking point and I would urge the Biden Administration to coordinate an overwhelming response with Israel, starting with Iran’s ability to refine oil,” Graham said in a statement Tuesday.
In his statement, he called the Iranian regime “religious Nazis” who want to “purify Islam and attack the United States.”

The Biden administration like most of the West have utterly disgraced themselves over Israel but the idea that Trump's policy in that space would improve the suffering of the Palestinians is patently absurd.

I'm a little confused, isn't the fact that the ad is still running means that free speech has been protected?
And is the ad inaccurate? Not that I pretend to understand the hodgepodge of US state law when it comes to early terminations..

From reading the article, I am a little struggling to understand how the termination was required for the cancer treatment, thought for most cancers you could (if you had to) give the cancer treatment and then if a side effect is miscarriage, shouldn't be an issue. I suppose if the primary was hormonally sensitive (ie talking about a breast or endometrial cancer that had spread to brain)

There is a lot of confusion about what "preserve life" means particularly when the cancer is already advanced and so maybe all you are getting is extra time. And the uncertainty comes from not having been tested in court - doctors are generally risk averse and so if there is a risk they could get in legal trouble they will stay away, making access to the after 6 week termination difficult.

Interesting to see the block of "internal polling" being spat out by the Trump campaign, showing he's leading in all 7 swing states and is close to tied nationally. A broader collection of polls indicates a more even spread of leads between Trump and Harris, with Harris winning nationally.

If the Trump polling was true and you were confident in it, you wouldn't leak that polling. You'd stay on message and keep going rather than trying to shift the narrative/muddy the waters.

Trumps ego means that he needs to broadcast to all that he is the winner. Because he thinks people want to back the "winner" and so that it will generate more votes; and also create/ maintain the narrative if he was to lose that the election was stolen.
