Dems currently have a 24% lead in mail ballot party registrations...

This doesn't suggest Trump is guaranteed to romp it in (because this time around, he is actively encouraging supporters to go mail ballot though the majority will still be paranoid about mail voting), however, the race will be neck and neck at the absolute minimum.

Yes he did, think you have it mixed around. Biden was firm favourite and just won by 43k in 3 swing states razor thing margins in context of an American election.

If Trump wins it by squeaking through the battleground states, those voters are ones I would blame. They must of by now been even superficially acquainted with facts and information, yet they still voted for the PoS. Any calamities coming down the pike are on them.

My gut feel is that if Trump loses the more traditional Republicans will wrest back power from the MAGA crew and try to purge them.

I think there will be a lot of bloodletting and the GOP will be weakened for years but there are a lot of decent conservatives out there who find what has happened to their party under Trump/MAGA abhorrent and will want to take control back.

If Trump wins then the old GOP is dead and buried - MAGA will have won.

If they can find the testicular fortitude to withstand the violent rhetoric and maybe some actual incidents coming from the MAGA thugs. That's why they haven't spoken up so far. They are not brave leaders, they are opportunists looking for a way to sneak back into GOP control.

Think Trump wins main reason is he has outperformed polling in last two elections and in 2024 it very close in polling. Harris teaming up with the Cheney's is such a dumb move.

It just depends if the polls have over corrected and if the 2022 mid terms where they underestimated the Dems by 4 points on average are more relevant now.

Time will tell.
