Thats a country lol

I'm actually more interested in what becomes of the Republican party if it does lose, who do they turn to next? Will MAGA people just not vote if he or someone who he selects isn't the nominated official. Will the party split up? I'm not sure they are ready for fall out if he does lose in fact I don't think anybody is.

Another January 6th type thing is undoubtedly coming, these people didn't believe he lost last time. There will be retaliation I'm just not sure in which form.
My gut feel is that if Trump loses the more traditional Republicans will wrest back power from the MAGA crew and try to purge them.

I think there will be a lot of bloodletting and the GOP will be weakened for years but there are a lot of decent conservatives out there who find what has happened to their party under Trump/MAGA abhorrent and will want to take control back.

If Trump wins then the old GOP is dead and buried - MAGA will have won.

Didn't happen in 2020, won't happen this time.

The MAGA party is here to stay while Donald is around giving endorsements.

They may return to sanity slowly and pick up the pace when he heads to the big garbage dump in the sky.

Anthony Scaramucci’s case against Trump

I'm not a fan of Mooch; there's an arrogance to him that really grates me.

I really dislike a lot of his commentary on this election because any time he talks it's almost as if he's talking down to the audience in the sense that he knows MAGA and every other media pundit/political operative/average Joe doesn't. You know, he's correct, he knows the right course of action, he's got the Trump panacea. Yet at the same time - like all of us - no one has any idea the right course of action: will Trump's racist shit work?; should Harris have done Rogan?; which states the candidates should spend more time in?; what endorsements are positive and what are negative? etc. Especially since the race is apparently so close.

Having said that, that was a brilliantly simply, clean, articulate article for the case against Trump. It should be widely shared by Dem advocates.

In 2020 there wasn't the same animosity from traditional republicans - quite a few will vote for Harris and others just won't vote.

Trump is 78 years old - already 3 years over the expected life expectancy of an American male. They are going to have to hitch their wagon to someone else pretty soon. Most likely one of his sons or somebody who comes in to scoop the MAGA base up - but who? Vance doesn't have the charisma, Vivek is too brown for them. Tucker Carlson would probably be the front runner.

Though it's worth noting that in the last 2 elections the underdog (betting market) has won both times Trump 2016, Biden 2020. So if that holds true again Harris will win.

Not sure about that at least the favourite bit.

Prior to postal votes being counted Biden was paying $6+ dollars to win, I don't recall Biden being a firm favourite until AFTER postal votes started being counted
Biden was overwhelming favourite to win in 2020. He was favourite in the betting markets, clearly favourite in the popular vote, clearly favourite in the combined swing states, had a 90% chance according to 538 and was favourite across the RealClearPolitics voting averages.

What you're referring to is voting trends that were upended for two reasons: Covid and Trump telling his supporters that early voting, drop boxes and mail in ballots were bad. So even though the non-partisan political experts kept telling us how the votes would play out in a couple of the important swing states (early Trump advantage then Dems would likely take the lead when early voting was counted), on the night it did look very good for Trump and ominous for Biden.

A fool and their money...

Wonder if the GOP is panicking with those numbers coming out of Pennsylvania?

Pennsylvania has moved back into favorable territory for the Democrats. No coincidence that Trump today ranted on about electoral interference and fraud in that state with zero facts to back it up?

Amazed his stupid base cannot see the obvious going on here. They are screaming fraud in some of the swing states already. To seed doubt amongst voters, so they can scream rigged when they lose like last time. It is all part of the plan here. Divide and instability is Trumps game card.

Damn big Jake Paul puts together a surprisingly good take. Kamala simply cannot put together sentences like these :fireemoji:

Absolutely TRASHED Kamala and the democrats leaving no avenue for recourse!

The guy's a douche but popular with Gen Z and he backed up his message with economic stats and facts 👍

Of course they are. They spent so much time flooding the aggregators with biased sub-quality polls to try to bend the universe towards the reality they want. It didn’t work and the EV numbers are showing it. Trump is clearly getting increasingly desperate. His campaign has somehow managed to make every possible misstep in this last week as well. You love to see it.
