I don't know that the Amish are the standard measure for voting numbers across the US.
The Amish set the standard in everything. lol

From the US election to the Technology.

They set the standard in Public transport too. I would take the Horse and cart over a train or tram or bus to work. lol

The democrats blocked Judge Janice Rogers Brown appointment in 2003, a black female Judge.
This Judge ??

Retired D.C. Circuit Judge Janice Rogers Brown called upon to defend John Eastman, characterized the conservative legal scholar as a meticulous researcher, thoroughly prepared with an in-depth knowledge of chosen topics.

Brown, who also served as a California Supreme Court justice who now is a fellow at University of California Berkeley Law School, was the final of five character witnesses to testify on Eastman’s behalf at his California State Bar Court trial on ethical and legal violations

I think it was Morning Joe that was pushing the post-election narrative that people were just worried about their families, and schools, and something to do with trans and litter boxes, etc. It showed that they discounted the infrastructures improvements, inflation fighting and economy rebuilding by the Biden admin, and remembered the culture war nonsense that was beamed at them 24/7.
I know a guy, a teacher in Nevada, who said his large district (300,000 +) in the past ten years has had one case of a trans kid (high school) wanting to play on girl's team. The district official in charge had replied with a flat "no". It really is a non-issue, but was put into the forefront of people's minds.
The Dems at the minimum have to up their PR game.

Joe ****ing Scarborough’s goal is to help turn the democrats into the neo con Republican Party

My understanding, after following people here and on other social media sites for over 20 years...
The current pope is 87 years old, and has probably held firm to the hypothesis that his god made the world a little under 10000 years ago. Does that make him correct?
... confirms my belief...
Oh, we're dealing with 'beliefs', are we?

I'll lower my standards for debate, then.
... that in some cases, some far left wing electors hold similar views to far right wing supporters, hence me putting forward the horseshoe theory.
... this is beyond stupid.

Fox News used to describe themselves as 'Fair and Balanced', and I likewise declare myself Grand Poobah of Melbourne. Does that make Fox and myself correct about our judgement?
... You appear to hold a different opinion
Point of order.

I don't just hold a different opinion. I hold yours in utter contempt; not just because you're wrong, but because you're wrong in a dangerous way.

People use things like horseshoe theory to ignore ideas from the edges. Once upon a time, democracy was a fringe belief; the Wealth of Nations was initially considered a lesser work than a history of the Roman Empire. Ignore the fringes at your peril, but - more importantly - try to properly understand what the fringes think and why they think it.

By confining your view to the exceedingly shallow 'they're the same' ignores everything about them that matters. It does both you and them a disservice.
... but by suggesting I hold a trite, pop understanding of the political spectrum, and declaring I'm demeaning myself, you are showing that you have an intolerance to my beliefs. Which is disappointing
...

This is very, very st-

No, you know what. I've explained myself plenty here. I'm simply going to state the following:

I am not required to tolerate incorrect beliefs, nor am I required to accept them out of politeness.

The Horseshoe theory ignores everything about either viewpoint in order to paint an incomplete picture that is then sold to people seeking entry into a complex area. Deal with the fact that the reality is entirely more complex, and you will make mistakes by generalising in this way.

Fred Flinstone likes this

And what has her testifying for Eastman got to do with anything?

You think ALL of the EXACT same people voted for Trump this year as they did last election?

And you think that ONLY people who voted for Biden last election didn't vote this year?

There is zero swing voter impact this year?

Or are you just angling for a bit of a troll? I think you're just angling for a bit of a troll.
I'm more angling for a valid explanation as to why there is such a massive discrepancy

Who was it that held back Obama's Supreme Court nomination, then rushed through their own nominations in record time? Wouldn't have been Trump's Republican's would it?
Boy what a shewd move that was. Garland has shown his true colours as AG. Glad he is nowhere near the bench.

Character ?

She's a former State Supreme Court Judge and a fellow of UCLA Law. You're questioning her character?

The Democrats blocked numerous Judicial nominations of the Republicans. And then cry when that comes back to smack them right between the eyes even more. That's how revenge is served.

Why do you and people like you keep forgetting that Russia invaded Ukraine illegally?

when did i say Russia didn't invade Ukraine illegally?

Why would you even suggest i think or said that?

I know of a person who practised fraudulently in there field for 40 years . They avoided jail barely . They were given a character reference by some one well respected in their field ( not the persons field ) . I have little respect to that person . So yes character counts
If Pence hadnt shown character and rejected Trumps pressure , Eastman fraudulent plans could have eventuated

I would argue that it takes more character to stand by someone when doing so could damage your own reputation by association then it does to turn your back on them. If that was her experience with Eastman, than that's what she should say. Who is anyone else to say otherwise?

Anyway has nothing to do with Judge Rogers Brown nomination being filibustered for 2 years by the Democrats. And she wasn't the first, nor the last. That's why the Democrats are scum.

✅

There's certainly a correlation between Biden's record votes and the mostly-peaceful race riots associated with billions of dollars in damage, numerous deaths and injuries, looting, destruction of private and public property. Its worth about 10 million more votes I would estimate.

Unlike this scum

Well it was a good half day or so of reasonable political discussion before the trolls and insults started up again.

I'm out. Thanks to those who engaged in good faith, it was enjoyable while it lasted.
Yep and see this is exactly the problem (happens on both sides). People just resort to name-calling each other like it’s a primary school playground
