It’s a valid point. I have a few people close to me bemoaning this exact issue but not one actually knows of a single trans person in their lives.

Their only exposure to it are right wing social media channels that constantly bring it up.

It doesn't. They barely gave a s**t about them 10 years ago, maybe even less than that.

The MAGA movement brought in some really shitty people, with to much voice. And they needed something to rile up their base to drum up support. What better than starting a fake imaginary culture war? Blame migrants, blame gays, blame trans people, blame black people, for all of your problems. Just piss weak because they were the easier targets. It has been a typical page that they recycle from their playbook going back many decades.

Most people were living in harmony, people were getting equal rights. But the racists, the christian nationalists, white supremacists in the movement, couldn't have a world where the people they hated were treated like human beings, and not garbage. And social media gave them too much platform to spread s**t.

Example, IF Trump said, I hate Latino people, they are evil. His base in their masses would start going with the same line, even though their was zero substance or sources behind it. They would not even dare question the validity of that comment. But because it came out the mouth of someone they like, auto = a fact. And they will start hating on Latin people for zero reason.

Back to the first point, all of a sudden, books that had zero negative impact on society. And were read in schools for over 100 years in classes, some award winners and classics of literature. Highly recommended by intellectuals etc. Are suddenly over night a problem, and getting banned, "because they might cause negative thoughts in our kids". Even though many of those sitting book banning committees admitted they haven't even read the books. They just jumped onto the outrage by someone else offended by a simple line or two in said book. They renamed "teaching black history", into some cute scare world called "critical race theory", and its indoctrinating our kids. So now they are altering what is taught in classes, namely trying to suppress the atrocities behind the mistreatment of African and Native Americans.

For gay people, they think that kids being told "gay people exist", is sexually indoctrinating kids. They bought out the old early to mid 1900's classic from their own play book, that all gays are perverts. Despite FBI crime statistics showing most crimes a of that nature, are committed in the family home, but someone the victim knows, mostly straight men on females. And its funny watching so many of those pushing that line, end up getting locked up for being pervs themselves.

And suddenly kids are getting trans operations in middle of classes. Even though no one can get an opp like that until they are full blown adults. And trans people are just trying to sneak into womens bathrooms to r*pe them. Like nothing has ever stopped actual rapists going inside anyway, they never need to dress up. Common sense lacks here.

They hate on people, simple for existing, and because they are told to. All the negative things pushed out, are just made up to try and give some justification for their hating. In short, it never impacted them in any single way at all. They just riled themselves up about imaginary things to be angry about. Because most humans on all sides are just garbage, angry and dumb as f**k these days. All thanks to the internet and social media.

Shows how far we have fallen as humanity, when the best we have, is people hate someone different, because the internet told me to.

The worst part is. The majority of people don't believe in, or subsribe to the BS culture war and the lies. Most people acccording to many votes and polls over the years support abortion rights, gay marriage, the list goes on. Yet it is the loud minority, that are given so much platform to screech the loudest, and we see stuff like anti abortion laws being passed in states, despite most of the states residents support abortion rights.

I don't. And I'm sure that many other people don't either. It just seems to be a certain subset of society that have their knickers in a twist about it.

Easier to blame migrants for a countries economic problems. Instead of governments, corporations, mega investors and rich people. Who are the ones who have turned an economy from being for the working class, into a play thing for 1% to hoard since probably the 80s. But its funny as well. The same people crying about economic hardship, lick the boot of the people mentioned above and worship them. It's like they are going against their own personal interests and think that they will one day become the next billionaire themselves, and it is a migrant on cheap labor, who are standing in the way of their path to riches through vegetable picking jobs.

People need to stop simping for those who are actual creating the financial problems. Even in Australia, Labor won't get rid of negative gearing, or hoarding of housing by mega groups, both foreign and at home. Because those in government know that they stand to benefit from it themselves. And it will upset their donors. Stuff the majority of the population hey? Even in America those on both sides, tend to push policy on behalf of those who pay them, or gain heaps in a share portfolio because they had access to a little insider info.

Instead of trying to eat the rich and corrupt, poor people oddly defend them to the core, and wonder why s**t stays the same. Its easier to blame someone unrelated to the core issue.
