TBH first I've seen or heard of it which after the uproar regarding everything he said. Him doing a hawk tuah on a microphone sounds like something I would have heard about.

That's because Trump does look after the rich more. The rich do absolutely fine under a largely pro-corporate, centrist/centre-right (economically speaking) Democratic party though.

It's fairly close in terms of support by income level across all brackets though, plenty of rich Republicans, except for the lowest which breaks hard for Democrats.

The Dems passed legislation in 2022 that imposes a minimum 15% tax rate on corporations with > $1bn income, imposed an excise on stock buybacks, and invested heavily in the IRS for tax enforcement.

Not strong enough, but at least they do something.

Trump just cut rich peoples taxes, installed pro-corporate judges, and appointed saboteurs to agencies that represent the interests of average Americans.
