cos the full interview goes for an hour, most won’t hear it all - although they should - the following metaphor hit the mark for me, the narrative by turning people against each other with lies, fear and misinformation

"the way i think about it is you have ten people in a room, eight of them just want to get by. they just want to put food on the table, have a good time, and have their friends and have a nice life. but there are two people who want to control everybody else, and the way that they get that power is to get six people to turn against the two at the bottom. and way that you do that is through the stories you tell, so if you can tell those people in the middle that those two people at the bottom, and you can pick them at random, because of the clothes they wear, or the colour of their eyes, or their skin or whatever, then you can get power from those other six. that would explain to me anyway why people of colour will turn against other groups of colour. or why white women will vote against their own interests because they are hearing stories that say you must turn against those two people at the bottom or we're going to turn against you. and why i do what i do is because i think the stories we tell about who we are and the communities we are are the way that you garner power.

Why should black people vote for someone because they’re black?

Why should hispanics vote for someone that wants to flood the country with illegals? Clearly this person’s ideas about Hispanics is similar along the lines of Democrats in that they have no idea what the Hispanic culture is like. Hispanics are typically very Christian and conservative, and the ones that have legally made it in the US hate the illegals more than white born Americans. The Hispanic vote in this election is a clear reflection of the failures of the Democratic Party in keeping touch with common American voters.

And anyone with a clue knows women’s rights haven’t been affected. This is pure brainwashing that enough Americans have seen through.

Not strong enough, but at least they do something.

Trump just cut rich peoples taxes, installed pro-corporate judges, and appointed saboteurs to agencies that represent the interests of average Americans.

Add to the list with Harris' campaign pledges that were for working class people. More disinformation about relative economic performances between the parties.

I'm not disagreeing with you. The Dems don't go far enough, as I said. All I'm saying is that it doesn't make sense to favour Trump/Republicans on this, when they are worse.

It’s not about favouring one or the other, they both are as bad as each other on taxes and tax breaks. Neither want to upset the wealthy and neither give a toss about Joe Bloggs and haven’t for many decades.

An optimist might think that if progressive populists can get some power, fight off the corrupting offers, and get the message out in spite of corporate media(Fox included), some changes might start.
If anything, Trump's campaign showed there are alternative ways to get messages out. Here on the rock it showed when the younger voters didn't fall for the tradition campaign messages in tradition media and soundly rejected Chinese influence and their lapdogs.
