Oh i know but Thursdays are a pain to get to.
From a TV point i get it but for attending i don't.
Even with Easter Monday Hawthorn averaged a crowd of 36,037 in season 2024, narrowly ahead of fellow behemoth Melbourne.Remove the Easter Monday Geelong game and tell me the average crowd size for Hawthorn's home games in 2024...
Hawks want more home games and Cats want less. Surely that could be arranged. We averaged 54k for our MCG home games.Even with Easter Monday Hawthorn averaged a crowd of 36,037 in season 2024, narrowly ahead of fellow behemoth Melbourne.
Geelong averaged 71k for our MCG home games...Hawks want more home games and Cats want less. Surely that could be arranged. We averaged 54k for our MCG home games.

I hope the statisticians are practical enough and bold enough to treat Round 0 as Round 1, despite what the AFL wants. It's so stupid, it stuffs up records and stats too.
As someone trained in computer systems engineering I should welcome starting counts at 0 but not here.....
Congratulations. What was your point again? Did you want more?Geelong averaged 71k for our MCG home games...
Or you could just as easily say ‘average is heavily skewed by games against Sydney (38k) and Adelaide (36k)’.You played 6 games at the MCG, the average is heavily skewed by games against Richmond (58k) and Collingwood (74k). You can have more games at the MCG, but you're not going to play Richmond, Collingwood and Carlton every week. You're more likely to get the 36k-38k crowds you had against the Crows and Swans.
I just realised now I on the Cats page (I got here via google). Cheers folks. Bye.
Thursday night footy is good as long as your team is not playing!Hmm i don't think i like that much Thursday night football
I am shocked i tell you shockedCollingwood avoid a trip down the highway for another season from the sounds of it
