Yeah was always funny when they would market the huge blockbuster opening to the season every year as Carlton v Richmond when they were both cellar dwellersI actually hate marquee time slots that feature the same games every year. Sure have the time slot, but rotate the teams. Just do it by ladder position the previous year.
1st v 3rd opens the season on Thursday
2nd v 4th is Easter Monday etc
We’d be way more inclined to get good games on TV and teams will be more commercially successful the better they are as opposed to minnows getting peanuts.
If we manage to beat all the 2024 bottom 10 teams next year, we shall be in the top 8.
And the voice of affirmation.Would kill for some flat track bullying where we're the bullies for once.
One of them always seems to be a cellar dweller though. Not many years when both have made the 8.Yeah was always funny when they would market the huge blockbuster opening to the season every year as Carlton v Richmond when they were both cellar dwellers

It would be a practice run for the Premiership season. Moving a home game across country to a regional city is no minor undertaking. Eagles will also need to be preparing, as its not an AFL standard oval (so no guarantees to have all the facilities you'd expect).Youd think theyd give us someone else, rather than make the Roos go down to Bunbury to play us twice.
At least it might be winnable I guess?
Western norfsThe Roos are definitely being groomed as the 3rd WA team. Western Greys would be an easy transition name.
Open to fans to watch?Looks like we are playing Richmond on the 17th February as the "self-arranged" practice match.
No further details released yet. Not sure if it will be played in Perth. 17th Feb is a Monday.Open to fans to watch?
