So with a loss to Bahrain, what does this do for us in the group now?

Hard to imagine we finish above Saudi & Japan?

Fortunately, the Saudis also drew with Indonesia so we're only one win behind 2nd place in Group C. Beating the Saudis in Melbourne this November probably needs to happen for us to have a genuine shot at clinching one of the two automatic qualification spots because I just don't think we're going to get close to Japan. One thing is for sure - we can't keeping getting draws and losses from here. We need wins. Starting with China in Adelaide in three weeks from now.

The Ireland soccer team done it for years under Jack Charlton and at one time they had more Englisg born players than Irish born players, and it still goes on today, but not in the same numbers.
